Bedtime Stories by Madonna (CD, Oct-1994, Maverick)

Although this album was met with mixed reviews, True Madonna fans, & music junkies, will tell U this is arguably her best, and most complete album. Similar 2 how GREAT artists like Madonna, R leaders, not allowing CRITICS 2 tell them what is GOOD, I LISTEN & CRITIQUE MUSIC the same way. With that being said, Bedtime Stories is easily Madonna's most funky, and street oriented collection of music. Dallas Austin's east coast flavored, Hip Hop beats, along with a near perfect mixture of mid-tempo house, & smooth rhythym & blues, BANG effortlessly, as The Material Girl takes command of each track. From the first several lines of - Survival, to the last somber lyric of - Take A Bow, this album never gets the credit it deserves 4 possibly being the most personal & revealing Madonna album.

6)Human Nature - Big middle finger 2 critics! Great song!

7)Forbidden Love - Intense! Should have been a single! Feat. Babyface

8)Love Tried To Welcome Me - Smooth groove. Good song.

9)Sanctuary - Funky! Unfortunately 2 funky 4 some. 2 bad 4 them.

10)Bedtime Story - Classic Madonna! Love when she goes HOUSE!

11)Take A Bow - GREAT chemistry with Babyface! Maybe her best ballad ever!

The team of Madonna, Dallas Austin, Nellee Hooper, Dave 'Jam' Hall, & Babyface, created a very soulful, honest, & complete body of material, that was underappreciated when released in 1994; but, should definitely B one of those rare finds, that finally gets the credit it deserves in later years (Think Prince's Around The World In A Day). One below average song, out of 11 Damn Good ones, sounds like a classic 2 me. I challenge any critic 2 take any other Madonna album, that is considered classic (Like A Virgin, Erotica, Like A Prayer, True Blue, Ray Of Light, Music, etc.), and compare song 4 song. Bedtime Stories may not B one of her biggest sellers, but when u have an artist of this caliber (Michael, Prince, Madonna, Janet, Whitney, U2), many times their best work does not reach the masses! Truly some of Madonna's best and most passionate work!!!

Human Nature, I'd Rather Be Your Lover and Bedtime Stories are PERFECT songs, and the CD artwork is so beautiful, I loved it. It's really a pitty that the CD wasn't really explored...

I'm not exactly what you would call a huge fan of madonna...but, this cd is very sultry and seductive with great backbeats and slow bluesy melodies. It's a great addition to my wife and i's "bedroom music" collection. a must get for the romantic!

What I love about this album is that several other producers cranked out original songs meant for Madonna and they are all a good fit for her voice and genre of Music helping her also to put her stamp on something new and updated sounding and hummable, it was one of the best ones after Like a Prayer and also after True Blue, My only hope is she continues to collaborate on another future album and does more Duets and perhaps even a cover album SOMEDAY, love ya lots Madonna, slam that book by your brother lol!!!

not a very rare collector but a must have for a madonna's the upside cover is hard to find in europe.

I bought this one because as a collector I wanted to have one of these first "wrong cover" pressed copies (the front cover's photo position was later corrected so Madonna's head is pointing up). The rest is exactly the same CD you can get today at your local record store.

Great CD!!! Madonna, once again, shows her brilliance!!! Includes the timeless 'Take A Bow' and the harmonious 'Secret.' Other favorites from this CD are 'Bedtime Story' and 'Human Nature.'

Perfect transaction... Nothing to complain about... The object was sent quickly and carefully... I'll buy again as soon as I could...

My Daughter Loves this Madonna Cd. She has a large collection of Madonna Cds and this one is one of her favorites.

Great music, interesting, but also found as a FAKE-- both the real CD with a fake early insert and as a forged CD, usually MP3 tracks, sold as "CD only no case or insert."

The difference between the factory CD sound and the fakes is huge.
