BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is the 30th full-length animated feature from Walt Disney Pictures.

The CAV laserdisc is letterboxed, and also includes a short documentary, "The Making of Beauty and the Beast."
    Both laserdisc formats are available only for a limited time.

Lyricist and Executive Producer Howard Ashman died of AIDS in March 1991, before the film opened.
    "Beauty and the Beast" is dedicated to him.

Shot in Technicolor.

Rated BBFC U.

This film is currently on moratorium.

    A true classic & beloved film!!
    Excellent story, characters & music.
    The only animated film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
    Like many other Disney films, it was such a shame the category of Best Animated Film was not done for this year.
    Never get tired of watching the film.
    I do enjoy the DVD version of the film. I always enjoy making of & behind the scenes segments.

    Great songs and a great story with an even better message! Beauty comes from within!!! I've always loved the underdog and this time is no exception. If you haven't seen this movie I highly recommend it! It's one that belongs in every movie collection. -Holly =]
