Beauty and the Beast - The Complete First Season (DVD, 2007, 6-Disc Set)

Being a fan of this series, I so love the Beauty and the Beast DVD set. I brought it on ebay after seeing them in a book store. It had to be part of my DVD library. I have enjoyed the DVD set since receiving it. Overall, I'd recommend this DVD series as each are well done.

At long last I find Vincent and Katherine. I watched this series faithfully on Friday nights and cried watching every one of them. Vincent's kind soul and protective nature of Katherine was so inspiring to me, and the music made it better, if possible. Buy this, watch it..you won't be sorry.

I have always enjoyed a good tv series and this one always stole my heart.I have enjoyed the series the past and will in the future. i hope more are to come i would like to keep my collection going. terrific must see and enjoy

This movie speaks to the romantic in the viewer. Set in Central Park and under the subway systems of New York, it is the true love story of a beauty and a beast falling in love. This beast is very over-protective of his beauty, and that can sometimes be his undoing. This is a love story for adults, not the typical cartoon character depiction.

The dvd came & was just as described, it was in excellant condition. It was sent to me in a speedy fashion. I was very pleased with the whole process.

I was so excited for them to release this to dvd. I have waited years for this to come out. The love between Catherine and Vincent is so outstanding. How they love each other but can't be together yet they can feel each other when in trouble. The make-up and lighting in the show was incredible was how I felt. Now that I watch them they are really an 80's corny night time soap opera.

This review is for the entire series 1, 2 and 3..The series starts out violently a beautiful young Attorney is attacked due to a case of mistaken identity and left for dead..in comes her knight in 17th Centure garb..a Man cloaked in shadow his face shielded from those he does not want to frighten..he carries the nearly dead woman down below in a series of tunnels under the city..where his caretaker, Father (not his real name) a ex Doctor! But called Father because he oversees the world below and its dwellers..gently tends to her, her face badly scarred from the knife attack..her eyes bandaged to keep her from seeing where she is and what is around her..finally feeling stronger the Woman named Catherine removes her bandages she sees her face for the first time..appaled she cries out as her rescuer comes up behind her stunned by her own image she sees his image in the mirror as well cries out and throws something hitting her rescuer he cries out in pain then quickly leaves his feelings hurt..she hunts him down and their Friendship begins...she later learns his name is Vincent..they fall in love sharing a connections few will ever know..as their love grows so does the danger of Vincent, Father and their Friends and their world being discovered..Beauty And The Beast is a beautiful love story the ending is heartbreaking, I wont reveal it here sadly someone else probably will if they haven't already if you want to find out how it ends then please buy the seasons there are only 3 in all..Time for a piece of Trivia or two really, first of all there was a joke going around when this show was on the air that David Lee Roth was Catherine and Vincents love child..also Women were soo taken with Vincent they believed in his, Fathers and the under worlds existance they would get lost in the New York sewer system trying to locate Vincent...That's how strong the appeal of this show was..trust me you'll fall in love with Beauty And The Beast too!!

It is a fantasy love story between a beautiful attorney and a beast who part lion and man. I love the stories he reads to her and senses when she is in danger and comes to her rescue. I decided to buy the dvd, because I have always love this series and now I can watch it over and over again, anytime.

I was sure based on the seller's rating there would be no problem with the purchase. I was right. I received it quickly & in good condition.

This television series was special to me. I had many of the shows taped on old VHS tapes. To be able to buy the first season, neatly packaged on new DVDs was great. I was able to toss the old tapes and now have the show in one small package. I may have to buy the next two seasons shortly!

I loved this show when it was on television, really missed it when it went off the air. I really enjoy watching the DVD now and have also purchased the second season and will also purchase the third.

I remember watching the show in 1987-1990, when it first came out. Then the Sci-Fi channel showed them in syndication at some point. I taped most of them at that time. The show is just as mesmerizing as it was the first time I saw it!! Purchasing the dvd set makes it much easier to watch , than VHS.

Loved the show when on TV. Happy it's now on disc. Music is very sooothing. The makeup for the beast is a little scary in this set but is softned in later episodes. Love the story. It shows the strength of love and how 2 people can share a beautiful love and not need a physical component to their love. It also demonstrates that people in love have a connection and can sense what is happening their loves life. Story can be a bit farfetched with a man that is half lion but there is still the possiblity that it could happen. If men can have babies then maybe there could be a mutant man. Violence is not always present but it si not very graphic. Would recommend to women who love romance stories with a twist.

When my mother was alive, we use to watch this series together. Vincent's soft gentle voice and Catherine's brave, kind and caring ways were a great combination. And for sentimental reasons. I am really enjoying it and will later purchase the other two seasons. I am so impressed with E-Bay and their clientel, if you are shopping for hard to find items, E-Bay cannot be beat.

I have waited 20 years for this series to come out on dvd. It was a wonderful show then and will remain so forever. I could sit and listen to Vincent's voice for hours. We all dream of finding that kind of love. It was and still is one of the best shows ever to grace a TV screen. I introduced this show to my daughter and she has fallen in love with Vincent, too. I had all three years on video tape and have watched them until they're worn out. Now we can enjoy this show for years. Thanks so much for bring it back.

I love the Beauty and the Beast series. I watched a few episodes when I had cable and taped them and I wanted to have the collection.

Exactly as promised fast transaction, wonderful condition, diac are flawless and in seperate sleeves. The tv seriers is something I have been looking for. I'm so glad I took the chance and ordered it. The seller was great decribed it to the letter including the fact it did not have original packageing. That was the only draw back but she priced it accordingly. Thanks

i saw a few of the episodes when it was on tv, and i liked them so i decided to buy them when i came across them accidentally ... however i can only list what i remember as this seller stole my immediate payment from paypal then printed a package label and notified the post office electronically ... i have never received the dvds, and the post office says they did not receive the package ... this was won and paid for on feb 4 and today is feb 21 ... exactly 17 days and about 10+ business days later ... so my review of this set can come only from my memory some 10+ years ago ... btw, the seller is lettergirl4427, so i would never do business with her

Great actors portraying Difficult roles but bring fear, joy, Love & companion. This is the movie to watch if you like love stories. I have this in VHS and watch it once a year!

It is exactly as described by the seller. It is a fantastic series that I can watch again over and over.
