The Beauty of Color by Iman, Tia Williams (2006, Paperback, Reprint)

This book specifically addresses makeup and skin care for women of color. It is thorough and contains a wealth of information. Most makeup books address women of color as an afterthought. If a woman of color is represented, she is the complexion of Halle Berry. No one likes to be an afterthought. This book contains tips that address how to use makeup from foundation to mascara to bronzer to lipsticks, etc... on various shades of women ranging from light to dark(as in a rich, deep dark chocolate). Beauty comes in many shades. The Beauty of Color by Iman gives women of color an opportunity to enhance their beauty.

Being a novice to makeup application, this book was an excellent introduction not only to shade selection but also included some looks that one could try to emulate. It also helped me learn what type of skin that I have as well as choose the correct cleanser and moisturizer to use. This is a great book for beginner's to makeup.

A great book for anyone who is starting to get into makeup or an expert. Also great for women of color including Latina & Asian women. The book gives great skin care tips, foundation tips and also many other tips.
