The Beatles: Rock Band (Xbox 360, 2009)

This game is a lot of fun! I've been playing the Rock Band and Guitar Hero games for awhile, now. I'm really comfortable playing "medium" difficulty, but feel like I should step up to the hard mode....but it's just too hard! When you add the extra button into the mix, it's a little overwhelming. Not the case with the Beatles Rock Band, I can play most of the songs on hard. This way I can get used to the extra button and the spread out "chords" before going back to attempt songs like "Jordan" or "Hangar 18" on Guitar Hero II, on hard difficulty. I recommend this game for all ages and abilities. The "oldtimers" will know the music by heart...the "youngbloods" will take it to heart. The harmonizing of voices is very cool too. If you already have the controllers...just buy the software only....no need for the "vintage" drums or guitars. The older peripherals play just fine.

I love the graphics. It makes we wish I could just watch what is going on while I am trying to make it through the songs. It has made me miss some easy notes because I get to watching the background and miss the notes. But it is worth it, I love the Beatles and Dhani Harrison (George's son) who designed this really captured the look and feel of those days. I'm sure his dad would more than approve of this venture...Well done young man. I couldn't find anything that I hated or disliked about this game. Whether or not you're a Beatles fan or not you will enjoy this game. But if you're a big Beatles fan like me, YOU NEED TO GET THIS!

The Beatles: Rock Band isn't for everyone. Like, say, people who don't care about The Beatles. If that's you, then move along. For those who have a love or even just a fondness for the Fab Four, Harmonix has created a fantastic tribute. It won't teach you the full history of the world's most celebrated band nor give you even a quarter of their extraordinary catalogue of music, but it's still great. The Beatles went out of their way to do new things. So it's no surprise that a Beatles game doesn't feel at all like the traditional music title. It's special. What Beatles fan would want it any other way?

A unique experience to be sure, but it would have been perfect with a bit more history built into the Story mode.

Stunning and imaginative. The venues are accurate, The Beatles are spot-on and the Dreamscapes are magical getaways from reality.
9.0 Sound
The Beatles have never sounded so good. The screams of crazed fans gives a sense of what it was like to play Shea Stadium in the '60s.
9.0 Gameplay
The same great Rock Band style, but with the addition of vocal harmonies. Rock Band aficionados may find some of it too easy.
8.0 Lasting Appeal
Its biggest flaw is the small library. Though you get 45 great songs, it's still only 45 songs -- many of which are under three-minutes long.

Basically, if you love the Beatles this is the game for you! Love the background colors when you play very Beatles. I like the way you can have three vocals at one time! Great play fun for the family! It is a good way to get a vibe of who the Beatles where and their different types of music!

Great game, have a variety of Beatles Songs. Not that many songs though. Fun, cool and interesting story line. Has many features from pictures to stories to limited edition items from the Beatles era. Really good game. Love the Beatles

An excellent game especially from someone who is devoted to the life and history of the beatles. My wife is a big beatles fan so it was really for her, however once I played it I found some of the tracks to to my liking and it opened me up a bit to the music range that they played since the game includes such a wide variety of genres and sounds.

The game was almost done as a tender homage project and not something meant to be a power selling thing for hard core gamers and as such feels a lot more inclusive to gamers of all levels.

The visuals are very bright and pretty and can at sometimes be more engaging than the song highway they are meant to illustrate.

An enjoy experience.

Love that even my kids know Beatles songs, so we can all jam as a family. Love the three part vocals. LOVE LOVE the no fail mode for my 6 yr old aspiring drummer. Bought it because I am a huge Beatles fan and wanted to add to my recent rock band purchase. Also, the price was more than right and the shipping was free. Esp for NIB. Family friendly, great graphics and videos, and overall the best Rock Band yet. Not even sure it can be topped.

Being a great Beatles fan for life, I had to have this guitar. It appears lightweight and easy to use with the Beatles Rockband xbox360. It looks great too! If you ever wanted to play the Beatles or be in a group that plays Beatles songs this is it! To experience Beatlemania again!

I decided to buy it so that my son and I could play it together for a great bonding experience and bring me back to my glory days as a wanna be Beatles singer!

The game is fun if you are a big Beatles fan. I don't know alot of the songs therefore it's not as fun as the regular Rockband to me but it's interesting.

I am a fan of the beatles and when I bought this game, I was expecting a good one. The gameplay is great, no glitches that I seem to notice, or lag. But what I found that caused me to rate this game average, is that it only took me 4 hours to complete the story mode of the game. I've never played a game this short. What they could have done is to add a lot more songs to the game. There are only 44 songs in the game, but the Beatles recorded hundreds of songs. The game creator is just trying to earn more money by offering DLC, instead of including all the songs to the disk.

Awesome game. I love the Beatles, so I just had to buy the game. It did not disappoint in anyway. I am in my 30's and I did not grow up with the Beatles, but my parents did. I own most of the cds, and now this game. Even if your not a fan of the Beatles, you should still buy it. The graphics are awesome, and the timeline is cool.

The graphics are poor and it only has a few songs not the most popular Beatle songs. played the game once. not work its cost.

We have Rock Band 1 and 2 and I love both of those games but for some reason I find myself to be an even bigger fan of Rock Band Beatles. I tend to lean more towards things being less customizable, so I really like the fact that you don't create a character or band. You just get in there and go. Plus, I can only play on Hard on the two regular games on maybe 1/3 of the songs, but with the Beatles game I am able to play on Hard on all of the songs so it's a lot more fun. I do consider myself a Beatles fan, however only for a few of their albums. I still really enjoy the game even with not knowing most of the songs. Another thing I LOVE about the game is releasing the Beatlemania (aka Overdrive) on drums...you get to play the whole song without the freestyle parts, they just throw the green cymbal in to release the Beatlemania power. Plus, they show the difficulty for each instrument everywhere that you select a song, not just in a "Create a Setlist" like Rock Band 2. I prefer to play on Hard but don't always know if it's a harder or easier song for the instrument I'm playing, so that feature is nice.

Overall I'm really glad we got the game and can't wait for all the complete albums, especially Abbey Road, to be available for purchase to add.

Excellent game. Pure excellence.

But I'm not complaining. The song list
is still amazing. Near perfect.
