The Beastmaster (DVD, 2001)

I first saw " The Beastmaster " when I was a teenager in the 1980's. I was so impressed with the story, and the characters, and the visuals. It was written and directed by Don Coscarrelli, who also wrote and directed all of the "Phantasm" series, which happen to be cult classics, now, and to this day hold a very special place in my heart. "The Beastmaster" is so engrossing, you may end up watching it over, and over again, just like millions of people have all around the world.

I use to watch The Beastmaster when I was a kid and loved it. This movie was pratically impossible to find in stores where I reside. I actually enjoyed this movie more than Conan the Barbarian. Long live quality movies!

They do not make movies like this one anymore. This movie lets you into the magical, mystical world of Sorcery and magic. Great Story and this is one you would want to own to watch over and over again.

I was 12 when this was released, loved it ever since.Sure, it's a B movie, but it's fun. Never takes itself seriously, pure adventure. On the technical side, later I came to appreciate John Alcott's available light work.
