The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver (1998, Paperback, Reissue)

This book is great! I can only guess as why it is so. I am guessing that it is so good because it is so easy to relate the character and storyline towards your life and events that have occured in your life. IT IS JUST FUN TO READ. The author did a great job writing this book and i hope that she continues to write great novelS like this one. Highly recommended book. A+++

I bought the book because it was assigned reading for my child's 9th grade English class. I read it because I wanted to be able to discuss the book and her analyses questions with her. I truly enjoyed it. It is light-hearted yet tackles some major social issues we face across America each day. I can see how it will generate lots of discussion in her class.

I placed the order on a Tuesday and paid EXTRA for second day delivery. I just received a note from sender saying that I should receive item by the following Tuesday. I purchased this book because I have to write a book report on it, now I'll have to go out and purchase it, and return item to sender. Just not right.

It started out slowly and uninteresting, but I continued reading because it was for book club. I was glad I didn't give up because it was a very sweet, albeit odd story. Some situations, including the main one, are improbable, but after all, it is fiction. It was written for the female audience. It explores several female relationships. It also gives insight into Native Americans. This is a nice, easy, fast read.

really good book!..i learned it at school and i love it !.. i think im going to read it again cuz i really enjoy reading this story!..

I received my book coincidentally the time that I need to review for my English class. This is the main reason why I bought the book-- a requirement for school.
