Beaded Embellishment by Amy C. Clarke, Robin Atkins (2002, Paperback, Illustrated)

I have been beading for about 10 years and have been seeing more and more embellishing done with beads so decided I would search out books for instruction on this technique. Locally I could just not find any books that I felt were comprehensive enough, and when my local bead shop was out of stock on this book, I purchased it on eBay. I couldn't be happier. The book is comprehensive and is exactly what I was looking for. It begins with a history of beading on cloth, moves into reviewing types of beads, cloths, needles, threads, etc. The technique section is comprehensive yet simple and easy to follow. The book is heavily illustrated throughout. Although there are only approximately 10 projects in the book, the possibilities from these projects are endless. Also included is an excellent section on designing your own projects with discussion on design elements and color, among other tips. The books finishes with a fantastic gallery of beaded embroidery that made me personally want to begin the book all over again and get started on my own projects! In my humble opinion, this book is an absolute "must have" for anyone wanting to learn this art.

The book is very well set up and shows just how to embellish fabric with beads. There isn't really anything I don't like about it at all. It is a must for beaders who work with beads on clothing
