Publisher's Note The nationwide rage for beadcraft is still going strong, and it's easy to see why. The supplies are singularly inexpensive, the projects can be super-simple or impressively complex, and the results are always, always charming. It's an irresistible formula. We made our initial contribution to the genre with Beads: A Book of Ideas & Instruction, a multi-project book-and-beads kit that continues to post gratifying sales every season. Three-and-a-half years later, with beadmania bigger than ever, we're compelled to revisit the subject. This time, however, we're taking a different approach: a glorious Technicolor treatment of one single type of project per book, along with limitless variations on the theme. Bead Rings is 54 pages of Klutz-clear instruction, illustration and color photography. Seven basic ring designs are shown (Simple Ring Twisted Ring Chain, Butterfly, Vine Starburst and Daisy Chain) in step-by-step detail. The book comes with and a generous supply of Czech seed beads in a rainbow of colors. The supplies are packaged in a daisy-shaped caddy of our own design, with a rotating lid that provides easy access while simultaneously preventing any calamitous bead spills.
