Beaches (DVD, 2005, Special Edition)

This movie is well written and it tells a story of two women who live seperate lives from one side of the country to the other. These two women meet in Atlantic City as children and then later on get together in New York. It is a great story of struggles,friendship and getting through life together. A good movie that I highly recommend.

This is a classic movie with a wonderful story about a friendship between two women that remains strong despite years of separation and difference of what life can bring. The gifts that the friendship brings to them are heart-felt and the women are amazing. The acting is equally strong.

This is movie makes me cry everytime I see it. These young girls are friends from when they first meet all through adulthood and to the very end. Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey star in this terrific movie. Bette Midler wrote - You are my Hero - a very popular song from this movie.

the reviewer on tv said beaches was the second best movie ever made. i say if it is not the second best, it must be the first best. the friendships are unlikely, thou not impossible. and it was heartbreaking at the end. when the little girl found her mom on the floor, dying it tore my heart out. i recommend this movie to everyone.

Watched this movie several times. DVD in good condition. Very good movie and plan to watch several more times. I would like to recommend this movie to others. Bette Midler is a very good actress.

I wanted it for my film library. I saw it once years ago and enjoyed it. I decided to buy it for myself.

I had a copy of this DVD but I lost it and love it so much. The movie is fantastic. I have watched it at least 100 times. Bette Midler is so talented and Barbara Hershey plays such a role. The story makes you cry.

I decided to purchase the movie because I happen to love the plot of the movie. It is a very nice and sad movie which I love. The characters are great and I would recommend this movie to anyone of my friends. The movie is GREAT.

What I liked about the this movie the most is the message given of how import friendship. And no matter what you go through personally they are always there with you. What I loved about this movie was the music. HELLO, it's Bette Midler; do I really need to say anymore. Wha I dis liked about thhe movie is that as many times as you watch it you will always cry at the end even if it is you 4th or 8th time watching it.

I don't care for the movie. It was a gift for my wife. I can however say that it seems to be one of her all time favorites.

I loved the book, decided to get the movie and of course it was not as good as the book. They never are.

I had this movie on VHS and had to buy it on DVD for better quality. It's the biggest tear jerker of all time. It's all about what friends should be. The song Wind Beneath my Wings reminds me of my mom's death since she was my best friend. I've watched this a million times already.

I love the quality of this movie--the picture is sharp & the sound is very good. This is the way to watch a Bette Midler movie..wonderfully done.

Ummm it was a chickflick what can I say...My girlfriend liked it so I say it was pretty good. Its one of her fav movies of all time so I bought it as a suprise gift and well....I had to watch it with her...But overall it was a good movie kinda sad in the end though dont wanna ruin the ending.
