Being an avid James Patterson reader, you know, Im the kind that has his book release dates in my date book, so I can be the first at the local chapters to have it in my hand. Yes, Im such a die hard that I cant even stand to wait for the shipping so I could order it online.

With that being said, I wasn't as impressed with this book as I ususally am when I get a new book by him. I found it difficult to figure out from which charater was speaking throughout the book and it didnt flow as his traditional reads.

I am used to being at the edge of my seat when I open up a new read by Patterson, and unfortnately this was not my experience with particular book. When I finally got to the end of the book and twist, I was happy that I saw a glimmer of my favorite writer.

For the most part, I dont think this was one of his finer works, not as action packed, not a lot of characters that you can really get into. I choose to give this a book an average rating, as the book didnt make me love James Patterson's writing any less, but it didnt make me want to rush right out to buy more.

    Beach Road - James Patterson

Many people were dissapointed in this book. It was my first James Patterson novel and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was edgy and unpredictable, a great book to just sit down and read in one sitting!

I understand where people are coming from when they complain about
the writing style, as it can sometimes be confusing, especially if you're engrossed in the book and forget to check the chapter header.

I love the short chapters. It makes the book incredibly easy to
read before bed (I just can't fall asleep in-midst chapter)

Patterson keeps you guessing from the beginning, and when you finally learn the truth...

People who give away the ending by complaining about it for whatever
reason are doing a disservice to all people reading these reviews.

I personally LOVED the ending, it was great, even if there is a small problem with it.

    Final Verdict:

    4/5

Borrow or Buy?: Do people buy books anymore? Even if they do, I'd borrow this one first. The writing style might get on some peoples nerves, and it's really tough to recommend whether a book this worth buying.
