This is obviously a Ninja Turtles rip off, but who cares!
You are a fighting toad from Outer Space, trying to save the princess who was captured by the Dark Queen. hmm..
The game is crazy fun and has a pretty good plot as well.
Impossible to get bored with.

This is an amazing game that I fondly remember trying to conquer as an adolescent on those sleepy mid-summer nights. It is a very fun title, especially playing with 2 players. If you have the means I highly recommend picking it up. It is so choice...

This game surpasses almost every other NES game that was ever released. Rare took the idea from TMNT II: Arcade Version and imporved upon it by adding different types of gameplay, from the typical TMNT II side scrolling fighting style, to dropping down a shaft from a rope, to riding a fast hover cart, to surfing, to riding huge snakes through difficult terrain.

It is difficult to beat the game, which is part of the reason that it is so amazing. Games that are too easy are hardly worth playing. On the old side-loading NES system, it was almost impossible to beat because it would always reset or get all screwy. With the top-loader NES system, the game plays perfectly for as long as you want so it opens up the opportunity to actually beat it.

Anyone who has played this game before knows exactly what the title of this review is about. This game is a fun, one-or-two player brawler game, but is also one of the HARDEST GAMES TO EVER HAVE BEEN MADE.

Battletoads is a brawler, similar to Double Dragon or The Ninja Turtles arcade titles. You punch and kick enemies to defeat them, fight larger-than-life bosses, and get frustrated when you die for the umpteenth time because you ran into one of those platforms in the hoverbike area of level 3. Having played this game myself, however, I can say with all honesty that it's not the game's fault. Sure, it's a difficult game, but the problem isn't in cheap deaths as much as it is in the player's own gaming skill. I may have sworn my head off while playing level 3, but I can get through with almost no problems now.

Pick up a copy of this game if you like games like Double Dragon and the TMNT arcade games...oh, and if you play with a friend, be careful not to accidentally kill him or her after he or she accidentally kills your character in the second level. It was an accident, honest.

this game is simply, the best NES game i have ever played. Its graphics remind me of the SNES, and the gameplay is just really fun, two player mode can be a blast.

Defiantly one of the most challenging and difficult games I have ever played.
It's old school and outside the box. If you are looking for a challenge and are really patient, Battletoads for the NES is right for you.

Need i say more? The title has it all. Not much too the game, but it features one of the hardest vehicle level in early nintendo history. Sure, maybe it's not as complicated as Donkey Kong, but few things are. Tons of fun, and great fight animation. Fun for all!

What a fun game, I'm pretty sure that D.D. and Battletoads: The Ultimate Team is a step up from this game but this is a step up from most other NES titles. The music is great and for a Nintendo game and it is also visually pleasing with strange settings for the levels. I enjoy taking parts of my enemies and smacking other enemies off the screen with those parts. The Battletoads franchise is a bit of a rip off from The Ninja Turtles but is definitly a contender. In place of shredder you got a dark princess kidnapping your buddies and thats the object of the game. If you love the NES then I would definitly recommend this one.

My brothers and I always played this game love it will keep a watch on product so maybe I can buy 1 or 2 more for my brothers and there new systems, Thanks Kathrine

the game took almost twice the amount of time specified to get to me. when i recieved my item. it was in poor shape. it was dirty, the chipset inside the cartridge was very loose and ive only succeeded in playing the game once after 30 min of trying to get it to work. just all in all, im not a happy customer.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier. The item I won was sent quickly and packaged nicely. It was in my mailbox three days from when I paid for it! There were no problems whatsoever with the item, and I would gladly buy from this seller again!

I like the challenge of the game. Also, for its time the graphics are pretty impressive. I think of it as two-and-a-half dimensions. I decided to buy it for nostalgic reasons. I used to play it as a kid.

It was as good as I remembered. The problem is the game freezes at the same point every time. Not sure if the seller knew it or not but that is the case.

I had a lot of problems playing that game when I was a kid and it was hard. But I started playing it again yesterday and I was amazed at how well I was doing. It is a weird game (punching flying pigs until they explode, crows and carnivorous plants) but a lot fun when you start to be good at it.

What spurred me on to buy such a challenging game is beyond me, at least from recollection i rememebered the game to be hard but not THAT hard. I suspect my "aged" reflexes might have something to do with this discrepency. Beyond the sheer maddening level of skill one is to posess to be able to battle past the third of fourth level i truly enjoy this game, well worth the dollars i shelled out for it to recapture days gone by, if only for a little while.

This product was in good shape and works well. Cartridge was in decent shape. I really have no huge complaints.
