Battlestar Galactica: Razor (DVD, 2007, Unrated Extended Director's Cut)

Razor is the story about Admiral Cain that needed to be told. She is a hard ass commander that the Battlestar Galactica fleet needed. Kendra Shaw provided the cute, accented, soldier to compliment and become the apprentice of Cain. The old characters don't disappoint either. Movie theater quality footage will entertain you from beginning to end.

Battlestar Galactica Razor is a significant contribution to the overall Battlestar story and should be seen by everyone. This great dramatic series deserves far more time and development than the confines of its time slot on The Sci-Fi Channel allows. The Razor special episode provides an important segment of the story which would otherwise never have been seen.

I can't wait for this. I am the biggest Galactica fan. The anticipation for this movie is killing me.

And don't be fooled when they say it is a made for TV movie. Actually, it was made for the theaters, but there are legal issues between this show and the original and was only legally allowed to be put on tv for some reason.

The captain of the Pegasus was a tough and complex woman...this is her story.

BSg is the best new Sci Fi show on right know. The story lines and characters are much more interesting than the previous show. Well worth the money and time to watch.

Fills in many of the holes with character development. The background of how the pegasus survived the initial attack and discovering the "new" cylons was a great twist.

Where Galactica was a gritty story about hard decisions the pegasus was an example of those same issues with other decisions being made. Great insight on the commanders. The flashbacks and stories with old raiders and centurions was great to see as well.

All in all a great addition to a collection. I myself missed this on the original run. I was glad to pick this up to see. I recommend highly.

Whether you are a fan of the original series, or new to this one; Razor is a great stand-alone movie to watch. The action begins right away, and doesn't stop until the credits roll at the end.

Fans of the series will love the behind the scenes details left out from the Mini-Series, and if you've never seen it the revisioned BSG, watching BSG Razor will definitely peak your interest.

Battlestar Galactica is the best show out there. Its a shame it came to a close. Razor is a connection to the storyline and was in fact a good tie-in. I have all seasons except for this last one on dvd. I will purchase that one too. Over all this whole series was well written and gave a brand new and interesting new look to the Cylons and human-kind.

gotta love the best piece of sci-fi work done recently - and Razor allows you an in-depth look at a major character that wasn't fully explored in the weekly BSG program - what made BSG so good was not its special effects (which were awesome) but the character development of the crew - who each one was - what they were as humans (and cylons too) - the chance to watch as the name became a figure - became a person - became someone i was interested in learning more about - Razor does just that with the infamous "Admiral Cain" -

with the last new episodes being shown now - i hope that they continue to put out movies like Razor to keep the fans of the show active and happy

I liked it. It gives you in site to the Pegasus. Its like the missing link you have to have it. If you like the series then this a must have.

We really like the show because it is fimed different then other shows. It is action packed and well acted. Much better then the first one with Loren Greene.

This is a great show for the BG junkie. Answers a lot of question about the Pegasus. Full of action.

It's a local store and after I won the action it took them 9 days to get the DVD on hand for me to pick up. Then after I picked up the DVD they ignore my requests to leave me positive feedback.

Continues the Battlestar story but overall not a ton of new information provided. Still it is a must see for hardcore BSG fans

if you were a fan of the original battlestar galactica this movie is a big must to get. this one tells the story of admiral cain and her fight with the cylons. this is the episode that you couldn't watch on the sci fi channel. this movie is at its finest. a must watch.

Quite honestly, this marks one of the highlights of the entire reimagined Galactica series so far. The writing is near flawless, and the story timelines are almost perfectly integrated around all the previous episodes, even though this movie was filmed out of sequence with the newer episodes. I love the brief tie-ins to the old series,,,nice tributes. A must-own for fans of the new series. And it can definitely be watched more than once. Upon second and third viewing, you'll pick up on little story nuances you missed the first time out.

But you probably already know that.

The only problem I have is the number of times eBay has asked me to write a review. I can't get them to stop, so now I'm writing this review.

It deals with the time between "Battlestar Galaxtica" TV shows ,old series and new series.

I enjoyed the DVD and it would be a must see for any fan.

If you are not a fan it would not be of interest to you.

The DVD/show was well done and fits well into the time between.
It fills inthe time between the two series quite well.
