Description
The Battlefield franchise enters a new era equipped with more firepower, modernized weaponry and vehicles, and a deeper infantry experience from the jungles to the beaches of Vietnam. From villages on the Ho Chi Minh Trail to the city streets of Hue wage modern warfare as the United States or North Vietnamese Army (NVA). Select from a variety of characters within the different soldier classes as you command powerful new vehicles including attack and transport helicopters, the M551 Sheridan tank, and the F-4 Phantom fighter jet on the U.S. side and the Russian-made T-54 tank, the MIG-21, and Mi-8 multipurpose helicopter on the NVA side.

      Battlefield Vietnam has some awsome helicopter combat situations in it and is why I purchased the game. I am a rated helicopter pilot and these helicopters respond as helicopters do when flying hard and dirty. While you do use the keyboard the mind controls the actions and this game fullfils the same exciting thrill as flying the real thing except when you push outside the envelope it doesn't cost you life or limb or even an interview with the NTSB. Great circa late sixties music too. Awsome!

      This is EA's next development of the major success, Battlefield 1942.

      You'll find this being almost the same game, and it could easily just be a mod for the previous game.

      Some of the maps are very dark and not very big. The weapons are unbalanced and there's only a couple maps that servers play. Playing these couple maps can be fun but it isn't worth the full price of the game.

      If your a big battlefield fan, grab it. Otherwise, stay far, far away.
