Battlefield Vietnam (PC Games, 2004)

Battlefield Vietnam has some awsome helicopter combat situations in it and is why I purchased the game. I am a rated helicopter pilot and these helicopters respond as helicopters do when flying hard and dirty. While you do use the keyboard the mind controls the actions and this game fullfils the same exciting thrill as flying the real thing except when you push outside the envelope it doesn't cost you life or limb or even an interview with the NTSB. Great circa late sixties music too. Awsome!

A lot of people will agree, the 2nd installment of the Battlefield series wasn't nearly as good as the first. Personally, I was very disappointed, especially with the dark, unrealistic gameplay. However, if you enjoyed Battlefield 1942, give this one a shot, and judge for yourself. I'm sure there were some people put there who liked this game, but my friends and I never got into playing this one at all.

Battlefield Vietnam is the second release in the Battlefield series from EA Games. Vietnam follows the American's in the Vietnam conflict. You get the 1960's-1970's weapons and the maps are very jungle like. I really enjoy the fact that you can play period music (or your own mp3's) as you do battle.

The best part about this game was the multiplayer mode. I enjoyed playing the vietcong and hiding up in the hills beside an American spawn point. Then as all the players jockey around for helicopters you pick them off one by one with sniper head shots! LoL.

I recommend....great graphics and music. Nice single player mode and even better multiplayer on-line play. when your in the jungle it really gets intense..almost like your really at war...make sure you turn up your volume real high for the full effect.
Really cool.

Since I haven't played it yet though, will leave it at Good. But I do know it will be Good or it wouldn't be on my List! There aren't enough good Nam based Strategy and Shooters out there and so this is a welcome Title in my book. i like the weapons, the customizable people, etc. i also like the vietnam theme which is not used often

I didn't have a problem with the single player version but the multi-player version rocks. Big maps and you can fly helos and planes and drive almost anything including tanks. Big maps are especially fun when in the sniper mode. Lots of places to shoot from 300-400 yards away under cover/brush. I've played this for two years now and just have a lot of fun on line.

This is my first experience with any Battlefield game and boy was I dissapointed. Dark maps and small maps. Confusing controls. I gave this game about 2-3 hours of play before calling it quits. I hope the others in the battlefield series are better...

This game is old but it still rocks, literally the sixties area music is cool
and the game is still fun to play Battlefield forever!

Aside from the frequent punkbuster errors, this game is my favorite FPS, not this specific game, but the entire Battlefield franchise. I'm ordering Battlefield 2 right now!

We have several computers at the house and the kids all love to play multiplayer games. We are fans of the Battlefield series, and while this early version doesn't have the more sophisticated capabilities like squading or commanding, it is still entertaining and interesting for the kids.
