Battlefield 1942: The Complete Collection (PC Games, 2005)

This game was all the rage when it first hit store shelves, and for good reason. This is an awesome multiplayer game! I love military shooters and this one gets 2 thumbs up from me. The fact that vehicles (planes, tanks, half-tracks, jeeps, submarines, destroyers, etc.) come into play makes this game even better.

Battlefield 1942: The Complete Collection is a combination of all the Battlefront 1942 games. You get the origional game, Battlefield Vietnam, Secret Weapons over Normandy, and Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome.

With this expansion/collection pack you get the full experience of Battlefield.

In the 1942 section you get to fight as either faction (Russian, USA, German) as you re-create major battles from World War 2. The graphics were good for their time. The game is still fun and it is played by many people online still.

In Battlefield Vietnam you get an updated version of the game engine as you play either Viet Cong, or USA Forces though-out the Vietnam conflict. A great game with great music additions. In an in game vehicles you can either listen to the play track that is with the games, or upload your own MP3's into the engine to listen to!

5 video game stores, newspaper adds, and hours surfing obscure websites on the internet, and yet still no luck. Countless personnel on the telephone and face to face, who all told me the same things- "Sold Out", "Not available" or some vague remark about another shipment coming in years from now. Yet all I had to do to find this, this crowning achievement in video game history was to check out ebay.
A crowning achievement is to me the only way to describe this game. Whether storming up the blood-soaked sand of Omaha beach, fighting your way up shore as comrades lay dying, or high above the skies in a possibly suicidal rocket-laden experimental jet cooked up by the Nazis at the last months of WW2 came to and end, this game is sheer excitement, and excellence all the way through.
Although a few years old, the Battlefield 1942, (and Vietnam, also included) series does not show its age, as it couples tremendous graphics with a host of authentic vehicles an weapons available. Fighting from the green expanse of Europe, sailing over North Africa in a Spitfire, or engaging the enemy over the sapphire blue of the Pacific, the Battlefield Collection is sure to keep a wide audience entertained.
Coupled with multiplayer battles of factual skirmishes, such as the Wake Island, Guadalcanal, and many others, the collection will still continue to surprise and amaze you after countless games. Add the bonus expansion packs, and the award winning battlefield Vietnam, and you can gain a perspective of the astonishing world that can be revealed to your PC if you acquire this game. It is an amazing experience.

I have Battlefield 2, All the Call of Duty games including COD4, but I keep comeing back to his game. I loved it when I bought the first game EA come out with from this series and it stuck with me. I would recommand this game to others.

Hi My son wanted this series of games. we are having a difficult time seperating the two. I have played it and it was fun but I must go to work and that is a problem.

The thing I liked most about this movie was being able to play the Axis powers. I don't recall any FPS game out there where you can play the Germans or the Japanese. Would have been nice however if when playing the Axis powers and you get a Total Victory, that it could have gone to a "what if" type scenario. Even with a victory you still end up on the losing side. The game upsets me when you are playing a sharpshooter. After playing other FPS games and being able to have one shot, one kill ability. I was a little upset that these game doesn't seem to have that abitlitly. Not even with a shot between the eyes. I did like that you can drive and fly, instead of just walking around. Even if it is difficult and frustating, especially flying. Still the graphics are nice and being able to spawn over, is a great plus.

I like having the complete versions of the game and the fact that you don't need to have that many upgrades on the comp to play it. After playing BF2 compared to this just doesn't cut it. I purchased it because of the low price...

This package includes Battlefield 1942, :Secret Weapons of WWII, :The Road to Rome, and :Vietnam. Only Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Vietnam are single player games, however. Secret Weapons and Rome include dozens of maps, weapons, and vehicles, but don't incorporate them into a game profile. Well-programmed first person shooter with realistic action and graphics. You have the option of turning coat and being Axis, but even if you win every battle, you lose, so why bother? Want to use Axis weapons and vehicles? Go capture some! The only disappointment was when I completed all the maps, and was left with only instant play maps and online play which wasn't worth the effort of getting online (to me-- thousands of other gamers are obsessed with it, making it hard to stay alive, learn, and advance if you're new). All in all, it was worth the $25 I paid for the used game, shipped.

I really enjoy playing these types of games. I just recently purchased this item from ebay without any issues. Game works perfect but I am rethinking of selling it because I just got Battlefield 2 Special Forces and don't have the time to play Battlefield 1942

I wanted to try the game and I got it about 5 bucks less than if I bought it new. Seller included websites to update product also which was thoughtful..everything went well and I enjoy the game.

The windows 98 era war game is one of the best i personally have ever played. i love the call of duty series but they do not have the funtionality that this game has. it may not have the ultra clear HD graphics but it still looks great being able to drive, boat, or fly any vehicle you see including aircraft carriers is a high mark in my book. and its LAN multiplayer is epic.

I have loved this game ever since it came out. I saw it online the other day and had to buy it. It is a very good game and has a lot of downloadable content online.

i loved the price of Battlefield and worried about the quality.........but i was truly happy with the game. the graphics were outstanding and my 12 year old grandson learned a lot of history of the wars and we have had many conversations as he learned each game. the seller was honest and i received the game in three days. i recommend kevin buth as one of EBAYS BEST vendors.

Battlefield 1942 I prefer Single player mode, I am not into online play. This game has a fun campaign to play and instant battle. With this game I could learn to like online game play.

Battlefield Vietnam, I was a little dissapointed with this game, no campaign, just instant battle or online game play. Not much in single player mode.

The game is easy to install and get started playing. One thing I would like to see in all PC games is Key mapping option for Left handed players. It takes a lot of time to remap the keys one at a time.

This is just a really great game! I recommend it to anyone who likes shooter and war game. It has by the way good realistic features like graphics and weapon accuracy.

Since I was making a career of the Army and fought in Vietnam I just wanted to get a vague idea of what a REAL WAR was like because Vietnam wasn't a real war. We were sent over there to be targets for Charlie and the NVA and weren't allowed to fight back the way we should have!
