A Wonderful Book, Perfect Balance of Photos & Text!
This book is called an "illustrated biography" with good reason - there are a dizzying array of photographs contianed within its pages. Additionally, a series of three-dimensional full-color graphic representations of the ship are placed within a fold-out spread. There is plenty of text, too, and it's well written. Especially enjoyable is the fact that the references are contained within the margins of each page, instead of making the reader go all the way to the back of the book for further information.
All in all, it's well worth the expenditure... if you want to know about the HOOD, or are simply interested in battleships of the era, this is your book. Two thumbs up!
