The Batman vs. Dracula (DVD, 2005, Gift Box and Toy)

This is a great cartoon... if you like the WB series "The Batman" you'll love this movie. The Pengiun also makes an appearance in this movie... lots of action.

This is an excellent movie and good story.. I say give it a try. It is geared for an older audience. The younger ones may be a little scared.

This is an AWESOME video! I got this for my son and he loves it. He also loved the 2 toys that came with it. All around this was one of the best purchases that I made on ebay.

Totally fun example of 70s style promoting and entertainment. Almost in the style of the 70s Super Friends,this outing takes Batman into battle with Dracula. Almost as if carved out of a Scooby Doo episode is kicks along dragging us with it in a stylistic edge to a old premise. In addition is a combo back of 2 little action figures as if imagined from Boo Berry or Count Chocula. If you get this for under $10 or for $3 at Big Lots,grab it! Well worth a few watches on a Saturday morning with a bowl or cereal.

This was the first, and sadly only feature length story for "The Batman" version of the caped Crusader. The story is action packed, and feels like it really has consequences for the characters, not just a "story of the week" that resets to the status quo next week. While it has many of the common beats of a vampire tale, this really feels like a fairly atypical Dracula story. The story really focuses on Batman as a Detective, and shows just how much Gotham is his city. Biggest complaint is that vampire Joker is freaking awesome as a concept, but the shtick runs out fairly quickly.

The gift set combines the DVD with figurines for Batman and Dracula that make this a great combination. While not quite as awesome as the figures for the regular toy line that would come with accessories or tons of points of articulation, these still are nice sculpts and make a dynamic piece to add to a shelf in your bat-shrine.
