  Batman: The Video Game NES

This is a really good action game from this time period. It helps that I'm a big Batman fan, but the gameplay is pretty good for the time, as well as the graphics. This is a game I can still play today, and I love it in my collection as well.

  Batman for NES / Famicom

Batman for good old 8-bit Nintendo, is easily one of the best titles of its time, and if you ask me, one of the TOP 3 games ever published for NES. Gameplay is perfect, controls just feel right and there's nothing left to improve. Graphics look great, dark and atmospheric, and are about as good as possible on NES hardware. Then there's music. It's so awesome I can't even describe it. It's been at least 15 years since I last played the game, and i could still recall those tunes. To sum it up, long time ago, Sunsoft created something that every NES owner should own: Batman for Nintendo Entertainment System.

Classic game for a Classic character

The gameplay is almost ahead of its time, allowing the gamer to choose between a few weapons. It is a challenge, especially since the NES was not a system that had the ability to save progress, making each round an adventure to see if the game can finally be beaten. Entertaining enough to play for a long period of time.
I purchased this game solely because I am a fan of Batman and the NES and figured putting the two together would be a nice match. I was not disappointed.

  LUV IT!

This is a really good game. It is not as 'hard' as other games, nor too long, but it is fun to play. I love it because of course "I love Batman!"

Wait... the greatest Batman game is on the NES?
Review created: 09/28/08

Some of you may prefer Batman Returns on the SNES for being a great beat 'em up, and that's cool. It's a great game I agree. There's nothing like the original Batman for the NES. The music is... amazing. I know that sounds silly considering it's 8 bit, but yeah it's awesome! In this game you of course play Batman, you have four different weapons you use, a batarang, a gun and some kind of weapon that shoots three projectiles. It's a pretty tough game. The good thing is you can constantly continue, but if you fall in the wrong place it can cost you a lot of progress. The most fun aspect of this game is that you can leap off the walls, and in a narrow space you can ascend pretty quickly. This game gets very difficult fast. It only consists of five stages, with lots of environmental obstacles, jumping enemies, robots that drop things from the ceiling and all kinds of other killer obstacles. This is very challenging but still very fun game even after almost 20 years.

Batman: The Dark Knight On The NES
Review created: 03/01/04

Pros:
great graphics, great gameplay, great music, you are Batman!

Cons:
need more weapons, inconsistent cutscenes, hard!, short, bad sound effects

No Robin? Excellent! In 1989 the movie Batman was released starring Michael Keaton as Batman and Jack Nicholson as the Joker. It was a smash hit, and revitalized the superhero genre on the silver screen. It was also made into a video game as well. When most people here those words they cringe. However, in this case the video game was actually a very good and worthy of basing itself after the movie. What's This Game All About? As I said before, this is an 8-bit Nintendo (NES) game based on the 1989 Batman movie. The plot is generally the same. Criminal Jack Napier gets thrown into a pool of...
