Batman Vengeance (Game Cube, 2001)

I bought this for my 5 year old son, because he LOVES Batman! He was excited when it arrived, but lost interest very quickly. I wish I would have purchased a different Batman game, but this was cheaper. The game wasn't too hard for him, but it wasn't entertaining enough to keep him interested. He put Sonic Hereo's and played it instead.

While many games being released are striving to look as real as they possibly can, Batman Vengeance doesn't even bother. Why? - Well, that's simply: It's based on the cartoon series of Batman, so the idea of realism is nixed before it even got out. The graphics, thus, look somewhat similar to a cartoon, but they're not truly cel shaded to give that definite cartoon image. The game follows a sub-par plot, which is basically designed just to Batman can run into all of his super villains. This is nothing new, really, as most comic games run on cheesy plots just so they can cram in as many villains as possible. The over used tactic isn't necessarily bad, because you want to fight as many of these villains as you possibly can; thus, you endure it, mildly paying attention. What I didn't like about this game was that at some points it was confusing to figure out where you had to go to progress in the level and some points were just really confusing to figure out what you had to do...period. Other than that, you'll stroll your way through various levels, avoiding the baddies and then at the end, fighting a major villain. Some of the boss battles can be real creative in the sense that you're not just running around beating on one another - there can be thought involved. You'll get to use all sorts of gadgets, just as Batman himself would. It's a fun game, but definitely could have been better. If you're looking for a great Batman game - perhaps THE best - I'd try The Rise of Sin Tzu.

What can i say, although this game has it issues, you get to be batman. This game is based off of the cartoon series of the same name and lives up to that. The one drawback that I found was the camera angles, or the lack of controll that you have over them.

I like batman, but the game was not the best it could have been, yet they pulled it off pretty well. A couple things I would like to point out would be the part where it went to first-person mode when you shot the bat's famous weopons. I, personally, thought it was a little annoying, and I wish that they would have made it a free-roam city game format. But other than that the overall game was pretty exciting.

This seller is misleading in saying his games are wii compatable. Mine I ordered came in a paper envelope and yes it goes into the will but will not play because you need to purchase more items such as a joystick that is not standard with the Wii .... That is why I will Never again buy from this seller, and that is why the products he sells go so cheap, so buyer beware of rip off and misleading./. Also mine did NOT come with a memory card as it said it does...

I was expecting to receive it sometime between Aug.18 - Aug.21 and i got it on the 17th and in excellent condition!

I am enjoying this game. However, it really is designed with the younger gamer in mind. The violence is pretty tame, which is OK in my book but the controls and gameplay are very simplified. You can only use certain items when required by the game (bat grapple for example) and certain skills or events will only be exicuted when they are built into the game (climbing onto objects etc.)

Like I said, not a mature game but if you enjoy a good cartoon style Batman plot line... not bad.

I actually bought this game for my nephew and he seems to love the game. He plays it everyday so I would definitely recommend this game to anyone.

its an alright game. the camera angles can be a little annoying at times and it is easy to get confused when having to move on to the next area but overall its ok game i give it a 7.2 out of 10.

As others have said this Game Cube version on the Wii is a Super Game! FAST and far more fun and challenging!

Both of my sons love Batman,which is why I purchased the game for them. They really enjoy this game!It has a lot more action then the other Batman game they already have. I got it for a really good deal which makes it even better!

I bought this game for my son. He already had it so I never even bothered to give it to him. I learned a valuable lesson. FInd out what you have before you buy anything.
