I absolutely LOVED this movie. Ok, I am not going to tell you that this is a movie that your entire family is going to love, but I will tell you that my 5 year old and 3 year old are crazy about this movie. What I love about this movie is the fact that it is age appropriate for younger children and that do not have to worry about the language or violence. I would recommend this movie for anyone that has a superhero lover like I do. Unlike the more current Batman movies or even the cartoons, which are not allowed in our home, there is nothing scary or to advanced for even the littlest fan.
A little child like if you ask me. Not a very serious movie. Some of the phrases in this movie are a little stupid. Not the way that I think of Batman & Robin. I give it a 3/5.
I bought this for my brother-in-law who is a fan of the original TV Batman series. I was pleased that it was promptly mailed to him and was as pictured/described.
i bought this for my son because he is a big batman/ joker fan,he likes everything with joker in it.he enjoyed this because joker makes him laugh in all his movies,he is a likable character.although some parts are a little oldtime and cheesy not like the version in this day.
First class all the way. I will buy from this seller again. I wish more were like this seller. I bought this for my grandson and was really surprised how fast it got to me.
It was a blast from the past. I was really hoping for the "POW" "BANG" during the fight scenes which I always thought was part of what made Batman and Robin from this era so great. I loved the fact that Joker, Penguin and Cat Woman were all in this movie. My kids are now familiar with the REAL Batman and Robin.
This is one of my girlfriends favorite films. I bought it as a gift for her. It is a great way to see how the Batman movies started. Starring Adam West(now mayor of Family Guy) it is great addition if you're into classic films.
It is what I expected. It brought back memories of childhood. I bought it for my childhood collection. It's just as foolish as the 1/2 hour shows we watched.
I purchased "The Movie Batman" - "Holy Special Edition Batman 1966" DVD for my twin boys. It has the original star characters and a plot that includes four of the famous Batman villains. It is nice to have a DVD with real people in it and not a cartoon format. My boys think they are "SO COOL" that they have "THE REAL BATMAN" on tape ----POW!! WHAP!! BAM!! ZOCK!!
I bought this movie to relive a part of my childhood with my son. It was great sharing that with him. The movie is a breath of fresh air for me just because of how different it is from movies filmed in the 21st century. I didn't have to worry about bad language, someone being violently killed,or uncomfortable love scenes. I was able to relax and enjoy my son watch his hero become alive. If you can sit through the bad jokes and mediocre acting, I'm sure you will enjoy this movie.
The TV series has not been released for distribution and the only way to see Adam West (the REAL Batman) is to get this DVD. It was a b-day present for my nephew (4 yoa) and he watched it 4 times in the first 24 hours. Now he has seen the real thing and not the impostors from the movies.
Batman The Movie is just like I remembered it. Grandson loves Batman. This movie is more suited to his age of 3 than the Batman movies made for older kids and adults. The movie keeps his attention the whole way through not just parts of the movie.
Very much like the item purchased. My grandsons were Batman & Robin for Halloween, and remembering the old TV show I knew the movie would be just perfect for a 4 and 2 year old. They love it.
I love everything "BATMAN" and this is the original Batman movie. I grew up watching the T.V. series and I just think the campy style and over-the-top comic book like characters are number one. I had to have this for my Batman movie collection and no collection would be complete without it.
I'd like to say my rating "good" reflects when I saw this movie as a kid, many years ago. It was "silly" even back then, but that was the way comic books and superheroes were seen. They didn't exist in the real world; they couldn't have. This movie is made with that mind set and definitely shows it. It was made to be fun and silly and anyone who doesn't like it for "being too fake" obviously has no idea what this movie was about. It was made in 1966 and I grew up seeing it on weekend afternoon TV. This and the TV show is how I remember Batman as a kid. And I'm sure many older fans do also.
An especially good time for those of us who remember seeing the original at the movies. The quality and colors are sharp, and the campy dialogue and silly plot devices are possibly even better when viewed through nostalgic eyes. It is particularly gratifying to experience it with small children seeing it for the first time - they react the same way you did way back when. Priceless.
Who doesn't love Batman? I bought it for my son as it is an "original" and brought back lots of memories of me watching it with my Dad!!! The movie itself is great and is one of those timeless classics in my opinion!!
If you haven't seen this movie, you are missing out!!! This is the classic movie with Adam West and Burt Ward. Of course you get EVERY villian in the Batman television series in this one (well, major villians. Mr. Freeze, King Tut and a few others aren't in this one). Whether you are an existing fan of Batman, or introducing the character to someone, this is a MUST HAVE ITEM!!!!
The original Batman TV show was campy & innovative, esp. in it's camera angles. Adam West is as perfect as ever as the deadpan Batman. If you liked the TV show you'll love this goofy movie!
The only reason to really own this movie is to laugh at how stupid it really is. I paid like a dollar for it so I really lost nothing. The best scene ofcourse is the bomb scene where Adam West can't dispose of a giant bomb because evreyone is in his way including a marching band and nuns. Other than that I really can't say you should buy this unless it is as cheap as I got it. A better investment for the money would be the current giant box set of "V for Vendetta" which comes with a small mask or perhaps "Batman Begins" special edition. I own both and paying top dollar for them is a worthy guilty pleasure.
