An Entertaining Animated Film
This film is a spin-off from the emmy winning Batman: The Animated Series, and is done in the style of the earlier shows (before the revamp). Much of the action focuses not on Batman, but on Mr. Freeze himself and on the relationship between Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon. This is a bold move, as the draw has always been Batman himself. Fans of animated offerings in general, and the DC Animated Universe in particular, will not be disappointed in this feature. It is not as brilliant as Mask of the Phantasm, as disturbing as Return of the Joker, or as vibrant as Mystery of the Batwoman, but it is a strong entry in the Batman mythos anyway. And of course, Kevin Conroy is the only true Batman. Buy this movie!
