I absolutely LOVED this movie. Ok, I am not going to tell you that this is a movie that your entire family is going to love, but I will tell you that my 5 year old and 3 year old are crazy about this movie. What I love about this movie is the fact that it is age appropriate for younger children and that do not have to worry about the language or violence. I would recommend this movie for anyone that has a superhero lover like I do. Unlike the more current Batman movies or even the cartoons, which are not allowed in our home, there is nothing scary or to advanced for even the littlest fan.

  The way I remember it...
Review created: 08/04/07

I'd like to say my rating "good" reflects when I saw this movie as a kid, many years ago. It was "silly" even back then, but that was the way comic books and superheroes were seen. They didn't exist in the real world; they couldn't have. This movie is made with that mind set and definitely shows it. It was made to be fun and silly and anyone who doesn't like it for "being too fake" obviously has no idea what this movie was about. It was made in 1966 and I grew up seeing it on weekend afternoon TV. This and the TV show is how I remember Batman as a kid. And I'm sure many older fans do also.

  Campy Good Fun!

What a trip down memory lane, when The Batman Show was rated #1 in prime time TV! This has it all - the riddles, shark repellent, ridiculous villains and to top it off an excellent musical score by Nelson Riddle.

I laughed, I cried, it changed my life!

  Childhood Flashback
Review created: 02/05/08

I bought this movie to relive a part of my childhood with my son. It was great sharing that with him. The movie is a breath of fresh air for me just because of how different it is from movies filmed in the 21st century. I didn't have to worry about bad language, someone being violently killed,or uncomfortable love scenes. I was able to relax and enjoy my son watch his hero become alive. If you can sit through the bad jokes and mediocre acting, I'm sure you will enjoy this movie.

Only video available with Adam West:++++

The TV series has not been released for distribution and the only way to see Adam West (the REAL Batman) is to get this DVD. It was a b-day present for my nephew (4 yoa) and he watched it 4 times in the first 24 hours. Now he has seen the real thing and not the impostors from the movies.

  Grandson gives it a Wow

Batman The Movie is just like I remembered it. Grandson loves Batman. This movie is more suited to his age of 3 than the Batman movies made for older kids and adults. The movie keeps his attention the whole way through not just parts of the movie.

Very much like the item purchased. My grandsons were Batman & Robin for Halloween, and remembering the old TV show I knew the movie would be just perfect for a 4 and 2 year old. They love it.

  Holy Time-Warp!

An especially good time for those of us who remember seeing the original at the movies. The quality and colors are sharp, and the campy dialogue and silly plot devices are possibly even better when viewed through nostalgic eyes. It is particularly gratifying to experience it with small children seeing it for the first time - they react the same way you did way back when. Priceless.

If you haven't seen this movie, you are missing out!!! This is the classic movie with Adam West and Burt Ward. Of course you get EVERY villian in the Batman television series in this one (well, major villians. Mr. Freeze, King Tut and a few others aren't in this one). Whether you are an existing fan of Batman, or introducing the character to someone, this is a MUST HAVE ITEM!!!!

The original Batman TV show was campy & innovative, esp. in it's camera angles. Adam West is as perfect as ever as the deadpan Batman. If you liked the TV show you'll love this goofy movie!

Batman The Movie is fun but dumb and boring!
Review created: 08/02/06(updated 08/02/06)

The only reason to really own this movie is to laugh at how stupid it really is. I paid like a dollar for it so I really lost nothing. The best scene ofcourse is the bomb scene where Adam West can't dispose of a giant bomb because evreyone is in his way including a marching band and nuns. Other than that I really can't say you should buy this unless it is as cheap as I got it. A better investment for the money would be the current giant box set of "V for Vendetta" which comes with a small mask or perhaps "Batman Begins" special edition. I own both and paying top dollar for them is a worthy guilty pleasure.

back in 1966 when i was 7, i went to see this with my friend mike, it was the summer hit for us kids. my older sister brought us to the theatre and said batman will be there with his car. he wasn't, but i wasn't dissapointed, even at tht age, while believing he would be there. thats because of the movie. i like almost everything about it. from the color to the camera angles & production, to the true to comic book effects. to me it was like a greatest hits version of the tv show. featuring a variey of villians and bat gadgets. its ok for anyone any age, best for that 6 to 10 yr old age. it's very 60's and it is only what it is. you can't compare it to a movie from another era. ( also, unlike the later versions of batman movies i've seen starting in 89, it didn't include a real life shooting in the theatre) times have changed, people have changed. if you wern't there, take a look back at this movie for a glimpse into 1966. if you were there, did he show up for the next veiwing ?

A little child like if you ask me. Not a very serious movie. Some of the phrases in this movie are a little stupid. Not the way that I think of Batman & Robin. I give it a 3/5.

I bought it to show my little 3 year old grandson. He enjoyed and laughed a lot. I can't believe how we used to watch Batman. It was a little far fetched and bizarre but it was enjoyable back then. I'm glad he got to see it.

Basically if you love the old 60's Batman TV show. This won't disappoint. If you're not familiar with the show, the movie may seem a little goofy. It's classic Batman the way I remember it and want to.

  Batman: The Movie 35th Edition

This is a fun movie for young kids who are "into" batman yet not old enough for the more modern Batman movies. It's silly like the orignal Batman series but entertaining for young ones and a family treat.

Fun movie version of the campy 1960's television series staring Adam West the best Batman of them all. This time Batman's four arch enemies, the Joker,Penquin,Riddler and Cat Woman have joined forces to try to cast their will over the entire world. A baby boomer must for any collection.
