The Basic Guide to Dyeing & Painting Fabric by Cindy Walter, Jennifer Priestley (2002, Paperback, Illustrated)

I love this book. It has excellent photos, detailed instructions on mixing (formulas) and applying them to various types of fabric. This is a must have for every beginning dyer because of it's easy-to-read format. I've only had one "dying" class at my Quilt Guild and this book has helped peak my interst in doing a LOT MORE and trying a variety of techniques and fabrics. With the information provided in this Basic Guide, anyone can dye with confidence. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone looking for information on dyeing or painting fabric.......it's an awesome resource.
