As a former professional bartender, and one that bartended both at a major casino and in a college nightclub, I found the Bartender's Bible to be lacking in some respects. It is great for some of the classic drinks, but carries no information on shot mixing. This hardcover version is nice, in that it will stay open on the bar without holding it (it is spiral bound). If this reference were to include a shot mixing guide, it would prove itself invaluable.

i decided to buy the bartenders bible because i just started to bartend and i thought i might need it.the guy that was training me gave me like the basic drinks, but i know some where along the way someones gonna ask me a weird drink.i know i wont remember all of them but if anything i will have my bible there to help me..

Great manual!I really like the hardback and spiral bound construction.Very informative about every aspect,including history,of alcoholic beverages and their ingredients.If you ever wondered what that drink you ordered consisted of,and how you could make your own,this is the manual you need.I hesitate to call it a book,because it is a lot more than that.Have not found anything I dislike,and probably won't.
