Barefoot by Elin Hilderbrand (2008, Paperback, Reprint)

This was the first Elin Hilderbrand book I read...just randomly picked it up one day and have since fallen in love with her style. With the setting in Nantucket and the way she uses the island almost as a character, I just want to pack and bag and head north. I love the descriptive details, but yet don't get bogged down in every shell found on land.

The characters in the book were believable and visible in my mind's eye. I just wanted to be there in their lives. A great read, whether you are on a beach yourself or just waiting at the local car wash.

We just read this book on our book club, and I honestly could barely finish it. The book is nothing but drama and a bunch of selfish people who only knows how to whine and complaine. The language used in this book is awful. If you want to read this book, save your money and try to get it from a library or something. Not worth buying it!!

I just discovered this author and really enjoy reading her books. The story lines and people could very well be true to life . After reading one of her books I would like to read all of her novels. I like her settings,would love to spend a summer in Nantucket after reading her books.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked how the author had you following four different peoples lives. I would recommend this book. I like how this author writes so much that I bought 3 more of her books!

I bought the book because my Book Club was reading it. I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it for a good, relaxing book to read. It is a long book.

I wanted to read this book and that is why I bought it. I choose to purchase it on Ebay because they have the best prices for all books I want to read. I will read it and then pass it along to a friend to read or donate to my local library or woman's shelter.
