Barefoot Contessa Family Style by Ina Garten (2002, Hardcover, Illustrated)

This book is excently written, easy to follow, and has very attractive photo displays of many of the recipies.

I cannot write a review about the product as I never received it!!!! I supposedly won this item on ebay on November 29 and payment was made. I contacted the seller and was told it was shipped on Dec. 4 but have not received it yet. I was given a confirmation number for USPS and when I tried to track this item I found that it was never mailed! I have contacted the seller several times and received no response. I wrote the seller requesting my money back but the seller does not respond. I truly think the seller should be ban from selling items on ebay.

This is one of the best cookbooks ever! I have made dozens of Ina's recipes and have never been disappointed. The recipes are straightforward and the results are always excellent. You will use this book on a regular basis and end up sharing the recipes with others.

I like the way the book is organized and I like the recipes. It is easy to follow the recipes and the ingredients are everyday staples on hand. I enjoy her TV show on Food Network and her style is like she's just talking to an old friend while she is preparing a dish or an entire meal for a party or an intimate dinner with her husband. Her book's intro is written in that same fashion with practical advice and good humor. That's why I wanted to find her cookbooks. I now plan to buy her other cookbooks! Sandy P in NC

I'm a huge fan of Ina Garten and her show, but this is the first of her cookbooks that I have purchased. I love it! The book is very nicely put together with great pictures that grab your attention right away. The recipes vary in complexity, but none are particularly intimidating; with few exceptions, each recipe seems perfect for today's typical family. And the ones I have tried so far are absolutely delicious!

I also like the way each recipe includes a personal note or story that helps tie the recipe to Ina and her family and friends.

All in all, I'm very pleased with the book. And I look forward to cooking my way through it!

AMAZING is one word to describe this book. I watched the Barefoot Contessa on Food Network for years, and had tried several of Ina's recipes. The recipes were always so good, and my family always liked them. I bought this book here on ebay (for an awesome price!) and I'm so happy I did. There are so many recipes that have good "down home" appeal. I'm southern, and we love simple, good, delicious food. Some of the recipes are not for me, but that is with every cookbook. BUT, I have to say, 90% I'll try, and that is pretty awesome for a cookbook! If you love to cook yummy for for your family, try this book!

This book provides for some pretty easy recipes you can make that include some interesting sandwiches if you are going on a picnic or taking a tour of the sites.

It is an awesome book with some very practical recipes. My favorite is the parmasean chicken topped with salad.

I love the recipes in this book. It shows you how to put together a meal for every holiday, or just plain day of the week. Really simple, easy to make recipes and absolutely delicious food.

This is a cookbook for every household. Great food, comfort food and family gatherings goodies all in one attractive package. Nothing complicated - just good eating with minimal effort. I/my family/my friends all love the results!

This book is good - right down to the chicken stock. I'll use my homemade stock from now on. I started reading the cookbook when it arrived, and couldn't put it down. I love how Ina explains the little tips and tricks that others assume we know. She even ends the book with a list of handy things to keep available from food to tools. Thanks, Ina!

Watch her cooking show every day and wanted the books with the recipes. Really like the recipes and reading about how she entertains.

I love all of Barefoot Contessa's cookbooks and Food Network shows. I find most of them to be easy to fix.

Great book. My wife love it. Ina Garten is the best. All her books and shows are the best in food network. I would recommend her for any one.

Ina's cookbook is perfect for the brand new cook as well as the seasoned cook. It has lots of great photos as well as discriptive how to do's. This book also has the kind of recipes I would normally use not off the wall food that I never heard of. Beautifully written and fun to look thru.

I have all the other cookbooks from Ina Garten.I find her books invaluable when cooking.The illustrations are absolutely beautiful.Comfort food at its finest.

Gee wish I had a chance to read the book but I never received it. I had to call my credit card to stop payment because ebay no longer was doing business with the seller. Makes you think twice about ordering through half.com
