Barbie as Rapunzel (DVD, 2002)

I have to say that my whole family enjoyed this movie.

I originally purchased the DVD for my, 2 year old daughter. It is 83 min. and it held my daughters attention the whole time, while capturing mine and my husbands, as well as my 5 year old son's.

Bringing Barbie "too life" is enjoyable for anyone who imagined such a thing when playing with their toys.

This is the first Barbie movie that we have watched, and I am absolutely sure that we will be purchasing more in the future.

I had to write this review because I am 48 years old and don't have any children. I was reading the reviews and want to let you know that your never to old for Barbie as Rapunzel. It was a very well done animation. I kept on saying I wanted to see it and was not sorry at all. The story of Rapunzel is one that I remember and liked as a little girl. I still have my Barbie's in a box in a closet from when I was little. The DVD did great justice to this fairy tale. It kept my attention, I really don't know if that's a good or bad thing.

This is nothing like the ordinary Ranpunzel story! It is filled with Romance, Adventure! And tons of other great facts! I just love the songs in the movie. It is one of the best Barbie movies. I would highly reccomend it, I would watch this movie so many times. I love the fact she is a artist, she paints a beautiful painting and then steps into a magical world! I wouldn't want to spoil this movie for you, you should go buy it and watch it yourself. I myself love Barbie movies, books, & dolls, but I think someone who didn't even like Barbie would love this movie.

Barbie plays Rapunzel, but it's not the typical. She has long blonde hair, is a heroine, and breaks the rules to adventure outside of a bleak cursed place that has her magically engulfed as a prisoner. She has great fun, heart warming experiences, funny friends, there's magic, and the good supercedes thanks to Rapunzel (Barbie), being curious and a heroine crossing the boundries who tells the truth.

Anyone with a daughter who wishes a female heroine, and wants to push about ability to supercede against lies. This was a tale about honesty. A good lesson in telling the truth... and uncovering lies and how they hurt, and the rewards that come from telling the truth, in true friends helping you for speaking honest. This Barbie movie tends to be adventurous, and underlying is always a basic morale of friendship.

Honesty, devotion, doing what is right given the situation... for a friend in need.

My girls love this movie. It has a good moral to the storyline. We actually bought it to replace our old one that broke. To calm tears from my girls I told them we would try find a replacement on ebayand ofcourse we did.

My daughter loves Barbie and I wanted her to have the movies. She is gonns have her own T.V.and DVD player. I would purchase from this person again. I will be looking for the new Barbie movie. 10 stars.

Our 6 year old loves all the Barbie movies, especially Mermaidia. However, Rapunzel has the very best messages, from a parent's perspective. A weak little dragon proves herself to be mighty by remaining loyal to her friends and refusing to give up in the face of overwhelming evil. Barbie herself shows courage and selflessness on her way to triumphing over the same evil. Our daughter LOVES the magic paintbrush, and she plays the extra games on the DVD over and over.

My four year old loves this movie. She talks about it just about every day, and has named some of her barbies after characters from this movie. As with all barbie movies, happy endings, g-rated material, and a general feeling of happiness and good friends.

It is my daughters favorite. Her VHS got broken, so we upgraded to the DVD!! She thinks it wonderful!!!

Finding some things on ebay is less cost (even with the shipping) than you can find in a used video store. My granddaughter loves the Barbie DVD's and this is one she didn't have. Her brithday is coming up and this is just one of a few that I got her. Everything was as the seller said. The product was in great shape as I viewed it as I will the others before wrapping it.

me and my daughter loved this movie.... the barbie's character is veryc harming in this movie... and as usual all the magic and story capture your interest till end.... we watched it over 100 times but still loved it without even gettin bored.

My niece was taken by the movie. She loved it. I thought it was great for building my nieces vocabulary and her imagination. I could not ask more from a movie.

Eden is 4, Elsa 9, they both love the barbie movies, and rapunzel is one of their favorites!!!! Barbie as Rapunzel is very entertaining for girls of all ages.

My daughters thought this was a pretty good movie. They like Princess and the Pauper better. Recommend seeing this movie.

My nieces spend alot of time with me over the summer vac. I got this one and another to kee4p her occupied and believe me it does. I actually rented this movie for her to watch and decided to purchase it because she really enjoyed it so did I cute.

I really like the barbie series because they teach really good morals and life lessons. this movie has lots of music in it so the kids loved it. it is great for ages 2years thru teenagers. I even enjoyed it and i am an adult.
