Movie Description
In this collection of movies starring America's favorite pint-sized and plastic sweetheart, Barbie stars in new interpretations of classic stories. In Barbie's first movie, she comes to life as both Clara and the Sugarplum Fairy, in the Christmas tale THE NUTCRACKER. This beautiful and inspirational film tells the story using extremely life-like CGI animation. Barbie and her animated co-stars dance beautifully to choreography by the New York City Ballet's Peter Martins and music by the London Symphony Orchestra. Then, Barbie comes to life in a fully-animated feature film based on the beloved fairy tale about a long-haired princess locked away in a tower. RAPUNZEL's detailed computer graphics are sure to thrill children of all ages. Featured are the voices of actress Angelica Huston (THE GRIFTERS) and singer Samantha Mumba. The perennial favorite, SWAN LAKE, is retold with Barbie in the lead role, and features the voices of Kelsey Grammer (FRASIER) and Maggie Wheeler (FRIENDS). Finally, Barbie appears in her first singing role as both THE PRINCESS AND THE PAUPER. Barbie's twist on Mark Twain's tale delivers the message that "every person has a gift and in that gift lies his or her destiny."
