Barbie Bible for 1968 to 1974

When I started collecting, one of the great difficulties was to decide which Barbie books to purchase. There are a ton of them, and you can easily go into serious debt just trying to find the most helpful of them. This is a great book, and I use it every day, unlike many of the books I purchased. The photos and information are wonderful. I have the other two Sarah Sink Eames books on Barbie, and for the outfits, and also for the markings on the dolls, they are all top notch. I did invest in the Barbie Closet, another one I highly recommend. It is so large, however, that I use the Sarah Sink books to locate the outfit I am looking for, and then venture forth to locate it in the Closet. Also, Sarah Sink Eames' books have, in general, better photos. So do yourself a favor, and invest in her books, the closet, and for the dolls themselves, a great book is Face of the American Dream Barbie Doll 1959 to 1971. It tells a great deal about rare dolls, the history of each doll, the lip colors, hair colors, etc. For example, there are two pages on how to tell the difference between a platinum bubble and a white ginger. What a help that was!
