The Barbie Doll Boom by J. Michael Augustyniak (1996, Paperback)

This softcover book is a nice addition for any collector's library, for pictures of dolls, in the original packaging. This is not a collection of vintage dolls, but is of the "pink box" era and the years of 1986 through 1995. It also includes pricing values, for that time period, so don't expect this information to be current at all.
The photography is standard, all color pictures, and I like that there are variations of packaging and dolls included. There are no model # included, but this is a minor issue. Included are foreign dolls, store exclusives and collector series.
It is a nice book to own, especially if you can find it at a lower price as I did. Not really designed for much more than general information for the time perid, but definitely a nice addition for your library. As a "late" collector of Barbie, I was so pleased to find many of my dolls pictured in this book....
