On the Banks of Plum Creek by Laura Ingalls Wilder (1973, Paperback, Illustrated)

I finally read the Little House series. I never read them when I was younger. I'm sorry it took me so long. I ended up reading them out of order. Please try to read them in order. LOL. They are some of the best books I have ever read. I passed them down to my 27 yr. old daughter. They are such a refreshing change from some of the books that are aimed at younger readers today. I think they will teach kids respect, kindness, love, & caring. Children (& adults) will learn that they don't have it as hard today as they think they do. I think the Little House books are a MUST read for kids of ALL ages, from age 5 to 105!! I really loved them all! God Bless!!

I loved this book, along with the rest of the series. I never read them when I was a child, but was just introduced to them. I am so glad that I was. These are great stories, that teach about love, respect, family and other great values. I had to have my own series for my children to read.

I have had the series of Little House since a child. I have replaced the set several times due to improper storage and recently our dog ate my book. While my daughter has never read the series, not from lack of encouragement from me, I am keeping this set in hope someday she will!!

I had read the series when I was in grade school, eons ago. I followed the series on TV. I just love it. It's a great tale about life, love, adversity and hope. I continue to watch the series as it unfolds in the Hallmark channel.

I like how they used to live in a dugout,and how it was their first time living so close to a town,and how they started to build their first house house,and having a school in a walking distance.
