Banjo-Kazooie (Nintendo 64, 1998)

Banjo-Kazooie was a very strong N64 title that features two characters: Banjo and Kazooie. It is a very good 3D platform game similar to Super Mario 64, but instead of collecting Stars, you must collect Puzzle Pieces (or "Jiggies") to 'uncover the puzzle'. Grunty the evil Witch has kidnapped Banjo's beautiful younger sister with the intention of stealing her good looks. Now you must fight your way through 9 beautifully rendered 3D courses in order to rescue her. This fairy tale is filled with humor, bad puns, and wit, and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Definitely pick up this title if you own a Nintendo 64.

That's what my 7 yr old son calls this game - totally awesome. He'll spend hours on this one. I even had to buy the Nintendo Power guide to help us along in this one - yes, I did say "us"! LOL

I am equally addicted to this hilarious game. As you progress through the levels, the more and more moves you can do get funnier and funnier. The best is when Kazooie turns into a dragon bird and breathes fire! Too funny.

This game will keep everyone entertained for hours. Our game is at 180 hours and counting. Only 75 jiggies located - gotta find the others to complete the game!!

I like how it is such a fun game, at such a low price. (You can usually get one for about $12 on ebay) The only thing I don't like about it, is that it is too fun so I play it too much!

awsome game great graffics for its day the kids love it. There is a great plot throughout the game and a good story line. It is entertaining for all ages and almost any type of gamer.

I love this game because I like adventure games and its really fun trying to find the puzzles and solving problems to earn puzzles. I decided to purchase this game because I had it once before, but I let someone borrow it and they never gave it back to me, which was about 6 or 7 years ago. That really upset me and ever since then I been trying to find this game and I'm glad I did. Thank you very much.

The first time I played Banjo-Kazooie was in late 1998. Since then, it's been one of my favorite games ever. Everything about it is great. It has great graphics, sound effects, music, plot, gameplay elements, replay value, and more. Heck, I still play it today, and it's just as fun as it was 11 years ago. Some people call it a Super Mario 64 clone, but it's done so well that it doesn't even matter. It still has uniquely awesome gameplay elements that aren't in SM64. I actually like it better. Rareware created some of the best games on the N64, and this is most definately my and many others' favorites. If I had to give a list of games that everyone who owns an N64 should have, this would definately be on there.

I remember playing Mario 64 for the first time and being blown away by how amazing it was. Then when I saw this game I thought it was just a cheap knock off of Mario 64. Boy was I wrong. Although it played like Mario 64, it was unique in every other way. I remember borrowing it from a friend to try it out and I couldn't put that game down. I played for maybe 5 or 6 hours straight. Another great game to add to my N64 collection.

Much like Mario but Rare makes it better than Mario. A must have game for the N64. And it's a dlc for the 360 which is well worth the MS points if you've never played it on the N64.

I love this game. When I was a child and had my first N64, I had this game. I loved it so much but then as I got older I wanted different games and different gaming systems, so this game along with my original N64 got lost in the shuffle and were sold.
