Band of Brothers (Blu-ray Disc, 2008, 6 Disc Set)

Very good delivery time. I ordered the Television set and it was processed right away. Great television series. I believe it was on HBO. It is a 6 disk CD set. The only thing I was disappointed with was the minor dents in the case. It was the one thing that my boyfriend noticed. I bought it for my boyfriend for an anniversary gift. . Great product. I would recommend buying from this user. All the disks works well, it was a brand new case and never opened.

Husband loves the dvd's, authentic and real life action he says. They were a gift for him and hes so happy to watch and share with other family members. A great gift,forsure.

Its near perfect condition, I have been looking around for the best deal around. The seller had one. Any way, my family like this movie a lot and they have been asking me for a copy and finally found one. The heroism and camaraderie depicted in this movie is noteworthy. This is probably the closest, most accurate depiction of the human drama that transpired in the war front during WW II. We owe alot to our WWII vets. Courage under fire and amazing heroism that the american soldier showed to keep our freedom safe and sacred is unbelievable!! Extra-ordinaire!!

Having listened to that, I have a respect even bigger for the war veterans.

This is an amazing series, one of HBO's very best. If you liked Saving Private Ryan, or are in to the WWII era, then this is definitly a series worth adding to your collection. Through 10 hour-long episodes, this series follows "Easy Company" of the 101st Airborne from the beginning of their training through the end of the war. Throughout the 10 episodes you get to know each of the characters in E Company, their struggles, and how they develop as people and soldiers. Every episode starts out with commentary from actual members of E Company, and the last disc is full of interviews and commentary from the real soldiers. What I thought was cool was to have people become your "favorite characters" while watching the episodes, then to be able to see their real likenesses talking about the war afterward. It really is quite moving.

The series Band of Brothers itself is a great series and is a “must have” for any history buff of the Second World War or for anyone who appreciates a well-done historical production.

Recently after upgrading to a flat-screen television and blu-ray player I decided to get this series in blu-ray and have not been disappointed. Many times new releases in blu-ray do not always mean better sound and picture quality so it pays to do the research.

However, you can tell work was put-into the blu-ray release of Band of Brothers. Both picture and sound quality take full advantage of the blu-ray format and you won’t be disappointed.

Bluray quality is excellent. This series will have you watching episode after episode and begging for more.

THIS SERIES WAS EXCELLENT AND THE FEEDBACK FROM THE MEMBERS OF EASY CO. WAS THE WAY IT WAS PORTRAYED IN THE DOCUMENTARY. THE AUDIO AND VIDEO WAS FANTASTIC ON MY HOME THEATER/BLURAY/PLASMA TV WITH BOMBS AND BULLETS FLYING EVERYWHERE IN SURROUND SOUND.

Depiction of the battles the airborne Division fought against the German forces during WWII. It shows the human side and the horrors inflicted during that dark period of our existence, as well as the history it taught us.

I recommend this whole series...I watched over a weekend and I will watch it again for sure in the near future.

if your are really into history and have a true appreciation for what thousands of every day men whent through over seas, then I would highly recomend this movie for you to see. The historical accuracy is true in every little detail whats even better right before the start of each episode they have a short interview of the events that are about to be depicted in the film by the acctual men that where involved in those missions. This again is a real great story that is told the film crew did an awsome job of bringing all those events to life.

i remember watch this a long time ago whe;n i was a kid so i thought i'd give it a try again and all i can tell u is WOW it is asesome, the video quality is stunninng and the show itself is so well done it all looks so real and scary omg like omg

Last i heard, this is a MOST expensive mini series ever produced, and with a team of talented directors and carefully selected seasoned actors, there's no room for critics, I've watched this twice over and I'm looking forward to another rerun on my PS3 :). with blu ray technology almost no details are spared and audio/visual enjoyment are at their best.

i thought this title was about the jonas brothers... but exceeded expectations when i realized it was more violent than most of their concerts

I love everything about this movie. Blu Ray and surround sound brings everything together for that perfect experience. Suggest it to anyone. Very informal and brings history to you in a exciting way. BUY IT!

This mini-series is just an outstanding piece of work. As soon as I saw it on HBO in 2003 (I believe) I knew I wanted it on DVD. I guess I'm glad I waited for the Blu-Ray revolution, the picture and sound are amazing. Just an awesome true story. Definitely a must have!

Anyone interested in WWII history should watch this! While telling history from an american para-trooper point of view, they managed to not get as biased as nearly every movie you will see in reflecting the germans. Its more of a "soldiers story" than a "hollywood flash, bang, action thriller".

Decent attention to detail for the equipment of the period. Missed a few things(no muzzle break on early model thompson's, no leather jump helmets, exc.) but a good job overall.

If you liked "Saving Private Ryan" at all. You need to see this.

Damn these men were heros, except not the best thing for ptsd, otherwise exceptionally well done. Recomend to all who will listen and also loved the high def picture and sound> Unfortunately the documentary and the film in general will really bring a tear to your eye if youve been deployed and seen the horrors of war and lost friends or seen them injured.

Band of Brothers is a well known war mini-series based on the actual accounts of Sgt. Winters, whose perspective is the most prominent in the series, and the men of the 101st airborne. It's a great series, really fine tuned and as accurate as you can get. What you probably don't know is that while this series is based on WWII in Europe, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks are doing a follow up series based on the war with the Japanese in the Pacific. It will be entitled The Pacific (as of now, the title may still change), and will focus on strictly Pacific battles. With this series coming out in the next year, people are going to want to get the full collection. So be sure to buy Band of Brothers (especially Blu Ray versions) before this series comes out, or you may find yourself paying a little extra to get this series. Also, be smart when buying the series, some people are trying to sell it for 50 dollars and higher. As amazing as the series is, and it is worth every cent of that amount, it has been some seven years or more since it came out. That means there are plenty in stock in stores and plenty of people who are selling it. If your patient and watchful you can pick up a mint copy for around 25-30 dollars easily. Be smart and you'll save on this amazing series. Take care and good hunting buyers.
