Bambi II (DVD, 2006)

This movie was a present for my son and the first time I watched it I cried. My 3 year old didn't but I did. He has now watched it at least 7 times in a week. He loves it! It picks up where Bambi left off with Bambi's dad trying to take care of him and still be a "man". However, his heart is opened up to be a caring and loving father to this young deer. It teaches children about death (just a touch), about caring, and about friends. It's not a long movie at all. It is a Disney movie. Maybe not as great as the first but that would be a tough one to follow.

This is a piss poor excuse for a movie. Disney is really reaching with this one and they fail terribly at it. The original Bambi was great because not many others like it had been made before. Now we have this continuation that doesn't do the original any favors. Now do yourself a favor and don't buy it, if you love your kids let them see the original.

Okay so it's not the original. Disney's sequels seldom measure up to the originals, some are real bombs, but this is better than most. I loved how it touched on the difficulty of a father stepping in to raise his child alone. Both are strangers who, after losing a loved one, have to learn to be a family and they learn this from each other. Originally neither one knows how to cope with this new person in their life but love grows. The child learns courage and responsibility and the parent learns how to have fun and show emotion. Intermingled in the story are all of the original fun characters like Thumper and his sisters as well as Flower the lovable skunk. It is really a good movie and worth adding to your collection.

As anyone knows, Bambi 1 is a great movie. This movie, Bambi 2, had a ton of expectations to live up to, and by golly, it definately did. Enormously entertaining movie; great for all ages.

We got this movie for my 6 year old. The animation is wonderful. All Bambi's friends are there with him...Thumper, Flower, Faline. The father is shown to change from having a tough exterior to a warm and playful interior...something that every child wants from their father! This one will be a classic in it's own right...

Doesn't compare with the original...JUst a verrylacking attempt to fit in with the original...old classics should neve be triee to improve upon....Doesn't seem to work in my gender.....

The classic tale of Bambi continues right where it left off. I loved the characters and humor in the movie. The movie was short and the story line was very basic. It was definitely made for younger kids (toddlers learning to capture stories in a movie). We only rented this movie, otherwise I would have been disappointed with this buy.

It was a great movie, but it took away from the classic Bambi because Bambi two is more modern. Thumper is very cute and he has always been my favorite! My son, who's two, sat there and watched the whole movie - he really loved it!

Bambi II is great. It's really beautiful, funny,and has great music. My two year old asks for it again and again.. and smiles most of the time he's watching it. He finds it very funny and it holds his attention. Highly recommended.

I found the movie to have an excellent theme about the importance of building a strong bond of trust and communication between a parent and child. Even though animals were used it portrayed the importance of relationships in mankind. I enjoyed Bambi very much also and wanted to see what the second one was like. I felt the first Bambi displayed a very important role of mother and child relationships.

I purchased Bambi II after first renting it for my children. It was such a huge hit with them that they were disappointed when it was time to return it. I decided based upon their enjoyment of it, as well as my own, that it would be a wonderful addition to our collection. This is another great Disney creation that should bring years of enjoyment to both childen and adults alike!

My children love this movie and have watched it over & over for the past few months! This is a great story between Bambi and his father. This Dvd also contains several songs that my kids love. If you or your children enjoyed Bambi, I recommend following up with Bambi II.

Great sequel to the original. My children (ages 5 & 3 1/2) love it! Great keeper movie that I am sure will be watched many times! Lots of laughs for both kids and adults (as are in most Disney movies) as well as great lessons learned.

Had the original, and had to see what the second version was all about. It was just as good as Bambi 1.

This is a very decent seqaul to an amazing first film, Do Yourself a favor --- BUY BAMBIE, Then rent Bambie II too finish the story!!

BAMBI IS A CLASSIC TALE OF DIFFICULT DECISIONS PARNETS FACE AND THE LOVE OF A CHILD TO FORGIVE AND LOVE UNCONDIONALLY. I BOUGHT IT TO UPDATE MY DISNEY ON DVD COLLECTION.

Good story. Product in good condition. Was alittle worried when I received it and it was not wrapped in cellophane.

I LOOKED FOR AND PURCHASED THE DVD BAMBI II FOR MY 4 YEAR OLD BECAUSE I DIDN'T BUY IT BEFORE IT WAS DISCONTINED. I FOUND IT QUICKLY ON EBAY AND GOT IT FOR ALMOST HALF THE PRICE. IT WAS FACTORY SEALED AND IN PERFECT CONDITION. IT WAS DELIVERED TO MY HOME AND IS ENJOYED FREQUENTLY. IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE ALL THE WAY AROUND ; I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE MOVIE AND THE WAY I OBTAINED IT FOR EVERYONE.

While Disney has for sure gone down hill with all the teeny-bopper shows, the more pixar movies which to me seem dry and boring, Bambi II pretty much picks up at the part where his mom gets blown to pieces. It shows how his father, the Great Prince tries to mold Bambi into something he's not ready for, but yet it also shows how they bond together, Overall, I think if you enjoy the original Bambi, this one's pretty much the same. Disney just isn't what it used to be, and to me, that's a shame. I decided to buy Bambi II because I have pretty much every single Disney animated move that ahs ever come out, from Alice in Wonderland, to Winnie The Pooh.

I'm very upset for this purchase transaction. I made the payment immediately after won the item, but NO PRODUCT SENT TO ME. I reported to EBAY, but haven't heard any action to this dispute.

I did give you a feedback before I gave it to my granddaughter saying I did receive it. But since then we "tried" watching it. It stopped halfway through it with lines, etc. on the DVD. My granddaughter was extremely disappointed, sad, and angry that I bought the DVD she wanted, and wasn't any good. We could not finish watching the movie. After that I went into the hospital and got home last week, but wasn't up to getting on ebay to check or write any feedback. So if you feel like making it right my granddaughter especially would appreciate it kindly. Thank you, Patty
