  Margret cho is awsome

Margret Cho is awesome as her character but bam bams character needed a lot of work. Over all this was a good movie with a great message but the annoyingness of Bam Bams character kind of hurt the movie.

  Margaret Cho is a Genius!
Review created: 06/06/08(updated 06/06/08)

If you love the stand up of Margaret Cho then you will love her in her movie debut as Celeste along with Bruce Daniels as Bam Bam. They are perfect together. These characters must have been a complete stretch for both...LOL..NOT!! They were completely comfortable on screen. The movie is extremely funny, but it is also a look at the true racism and homophobia that this country has gone through over the past 20-30 years and that both things still exist, but no matter what we should love ourself for who we are! This movie is a must have for any Margaret Cho enthusiast!!

  Bam Bam And Celeste
Review created: 01/10/08

The film Bam Bam And Celeste is a wonderful foray into the world of a young Asian-American girl and her closest (and coincidentally gayest) friend, Celeste and Bam Bam, respectively. The film was written by Margaret Cho and is an entertaining film for anyone who enjoys her brand of comedy. The film stars Margaret Cho (as both Celeste and her hilarious mother) and Bruce Daniels (as Bam Bam). The film chronicles their journey from their dull Midwestern hometown to New York to take on their high-school nemesis who now run a huge salon. Their journey leads them to the realization that true beauty lies within each person, and brings us to this conclusion via a comical road-trip full of hilarious characters and situations!

  LOVE YOU Margaret Cho
Review created: 10/30/07

Margaret Cho is so creative and funny in everything she does. LOVE YOU Margaret Cho !!!!
This is sweet quirky charming movie. It is not as in your face and shocking as her stand up. It does have strong languiage and sexual situations but they are all used well aspart of the story line not used to shock.
If you love her like i do you will enjoy this film.

>>Comedian Margaret Cho stars alongside Bruce Daniels in this outcast roadtrip-gone-array movie about two best friends who head for the big city when their small town shuns them for not being like everyone else. Fleeing their strange parents, the pals embark for New York City in hopes of landing parts on an advertised makeover reality series. But just like life back home, life on the road will be full of quirks.
