Balloon Fight (Nintendo, 1986)

I remember playing this game way back in the day and even now it's still awesome. It's really unfortunate that they haven't made a sequel of sorts, but regardless, it is still fun and glad they made it as opposed to not at all. I like it because it is simplistically engaging and has a proponent aspect that still gets the best of excitement. I decided to buy it because it is a classic and a favorite of mine and not many are going to be able to tell me otherwise on it. Balloon Fight is still an awesome game!

1. It's Not Always About The Graphics.
2. It's ALWAYS about GAMEPLAY.

What can I say about Balloon Fight that hasn't already been said. This game is a certified classic that is both fun on the home console and the arcade. I would gladly dump another couple hundred dollars worth of quarters into the Balloon Fight cabinet.

I bought this game because I remembered a friend having it when he first got his NES in '85 and I loved it back then. This game is one of the first that came out for the NES, I believe and it is SOOOOO much fun. It is a 1 or 2 player game which is even more fun when a friend plays. There is also ballon trip mode which is challenging but fun as well. You pump your balloon in flight to get altitude and try to pop the other characters balloons and then trash their parachutes so they fall. The game gets progressively harder as you advance thru the levels. The only complaint that I might have about it is the unusual and sometimes hard control and mode of floating around obstacles and lightening bolts. Overall, I rate this game a 9 on a 1-10 list and highly recommend it to anyone that loves 8 bit gaming.
