Ballet Class for Beginners (DVD, 2004)

Bought this for my 19 year old daughter who has always wanted ballet lessons. She is very motavated to learn and reports this is a very difficult work out for her (and she is a seasoned fitness DVD user). She loves it....but may be to hard for children unless they have been exposed to ballet already.

I love David Howard's classes on dvd. This is the first that I have viewed for beginners. It was thorough and I am glad I purchased it.

Excellent for beginners and you can go at your own pace. Very instructional highly recommend this video.

This is a very good workout for before and after class or just to brush up on skills and Technicality. It is great for language since some schools are more traditional than others. I have been dancing for a long time and I feel that this video really helps when I practice at home. I would not recommend this for first timers because it may be confusing. I do give this an a++. I even bought a second for a friend to help her at home. i have several dance insruction videos and this is my favorite.

I found this DVD to be very educational and very interesting.
I am already taking ballet lessons, and I thought it is useful to keep as a practice and reference guide.
I thought the dance moves and names were clearly demonstrated, and the teacher and dancer did an excellent job.
I thought that the title was a little misleading, because my first ballet class went over other items such as appropriate dress and shoes, and warm up exercises.
I bought this expecting more, but I was still satisfied.
I would reccomend this DVD to anyone who is either starting out, or who simply has an interest in the art of ballet dancing.

Very informative and easy to follow. If you are looking for a beginners video then get this one. Very well done If you want to learn how to do ballet this is a good intro

Liked the clear description and lovely presentation. Do wish it were longer however.
It is a helper for granddaughter when at home between classes.

My daughter is learning a lot from it and it seems to hold her attention. The product seems to be a reliable source of information. Great way to see if your child is interested in Ballet.
