I intend to use this as final comparison research for what I seasonally prepare out of my garden...the reason I chose this Ball book was I felt it was time to modernize my methods..one cannot be too careful when preserving foods especially low acidity items...

This is a usefull canning guide. It has recipes for most fruit and veggies as well as specialty items liked Spiced Honey. Very clear instructions, troubleshooting guide, lots of information. Great for new or experienced canners alike.

If you have a chance to purchase a copy, by all means, do so, DON'T HESITATE for a second. This book is WONDERFUL. A terrific selection of recipes. Easy to comprehend. If you're a novice or you know your way around the kitchen, everyone should own a copy a some point in time. Beautiful photos for every recipe with easy to follow instructions. This is one of my better selections of cookbooks, a bible. There is nothing about this book I didn't like except coming to the end.
