I bought this book after a friend had loaned me her copy of it to read. My husband gets headaches from eating MSG so I thought I'd look into it a little more to try to see why. This book gives the background of MSG.. where it came from .. and how it's invading our food supply.. even though it isn't even a real food. This book tells how MSG affects nerve endings.. and consequently is a major suspect in the senior-citizen population's degenerative brain issues.. Alzheimers, dementia.. and the like. While MSG doesn't affect me much immediately that I can tell.. I'm avoiding it now because long-term effects are irreversible. The Food and Drug Administration SHOULD ban this stuff. I've stopped eating all processed soups, gravies, and KFC Chicken and all fast food as a result of this book. I can see why this book is out of print... seems like somebody doesn't want us to know the truth. For that reason.. it's a MUST READ. Protect yourself, your children, your family. Read this book!
