Bad Luck and Trouble by Lee Child (2007, Hardcover)

Another great addition to the Reacher series. Child continues to evolve as a writer -- this is probably his best effort to date.

Ok, so I like Lee Child and love Jack Reacher! I read the other reviews and there are some very good points mentioned.....however, Jack Reacher IS allowed to be too good! That's what I like about this character; he always comes out on top. This book reunites Reacher with his old Army MP team and there is lots of action!

I'm a big Lee Child fan and this book let me down. He (Child) is pushing the super knowledge of Jack Reacher a bit far. You can look the other way only so much and still believe in the character.

The good guy is starting to go a bit far with doing the right thing and getting away with it. It would be nice if justice was done the way Reacher does it but you can only go so far.

I look forward to the next novel Play Dirty. I hope Child is back to his standards and my expectations.

Great book. I have read them all so far. One of my favorites so far. Could not put the book down. Read it in two days. Reacher is pissed off from almost the beginning of the book and someone is definitely going to pay in the end. Can't wait until the next one comes out.

The characters are so well developed you think you really know them. You want to know someone like Jack Reacher. You hope a friend would be this loyal, and this will to help out. No matter where the story leads, you know Jack Reacher will do the right thing.

Had to go back and re-read the last few chapters because I just didn't want it to end, what a remarkable character. What a great series of books. KEEPERS

I just got this book for my husband and he read it in 2 days and said it was a great book, he have enjoyed lee child so much we now have a collection of his books. I have not read the book but my husband reads alot and if he read it in 2 days it must be a great book. I was told the main character in the book is interested and stays that way through the whole book.

I thoroughly enjoy Lee Child's Jack Reacher. He's a no questions asked type of action guy. This book holds true to the others by Lee Child. His writing style is short and to the point. Not too much fluff and narration. I like lots of dialogue and these book have it. The story is suspenseful and keeps the reader interested throughout. Good Book...

A compelling story that involves the camaraderie of a former Army MP Company of special investigators and their former Comppany Commander. The team receives a 1030 call (code call for an MP needing immediate assistance.), and they assemble as soon as they can in L.A.

They are scattered out over the country since they all left the Army. The attempt to team up under the direction of their former CO, Major Jack Reacher's(RETIRED). Murder has taken a tole on former command of elite squad of men and women. The rest assemble to start the hunt in the "Hard to lay down Book" of author Lee Child.

The author has authored 20 something books, and all are suspenseful, fast moving and has surprise endings.

Thanks to this book, I will never read another Lee Child book again. I was a big fan of the Jack Reacher novels until now.
In this book at one point Jack needed to catch an airplane ride and had to choose between two airlines. He elects to go with the one with the higher priced ticket. Why? Because the one with the lower priced tickets has religious sayings on their trays, and he hates that. That sentence had nothing to do with the plot. It was the author's attempt to take a dig at people of faith. How self serving. I will never read another Lee Child book again.

I love the Reacher books - but this one skirts the edge of being unbeleivable. Reacher is just a little too "everything" - macho, good, right, and gets away with just a little too much. I still liked it; still think it was a great read - but I hope the next one is a little more in line with reality!

I love the main character, Jack Reacher, of Lee Child's novels. He is someone I can respect, cheer on, and although a bit of a rogue, he is always someone who stands for justice. I love to read and each spring when the new Jack Reacher novel comes out, I find myself wishing the author could write two or more a year, instead of his annual one. Of all my books, the Lee Child books are the ones I will always keep.

Lee Child is a great author. His character jack Reacher is a bad ass motha. A superhero without special powers. Just a speicific set of skills that makes him someone you wouldn't want to mess with.

IT SIMPLY SNAPS WITH CHARACTERS FROM REACHERS OLD ARMY INVESTIGATIVE UNIT. IF YOU HAVE NOT READ ONE OF CHILD'S BOOKS, THIS ONE IS A GOOD PLACE TO START, AND I PROMISE YOU'LL BE HUNTING FOR ALL OF "REACHERS" OTHER ADVENTURES AS HE TRAVELS THE HIGH ROADS AND THE LOW ROADS OF THE UNITED STATES.

The author has writen 11 books with jack reacher as the leading person.I have read 1000s of mystery books, by many many diff.authors.I wish he had written many more.the best ever,from page 1 until the last page
