The Backyardigans - Surf's Up (DVD, 2006)

My daughter absolutely loved it... It goes great with the rest of the Backyardigans' shows... Great for any child... Great for building imagination... Lots of singing and dancing...

This cute DVD includes 4 full length episodes and a couple of extra songs with dancing.

My 21 month old son loves this video. He would watch it all day if I allowed it. When my 5 year old niece came to visit it was something they both enjoyed. My husband & I get a kick out of it too. The stories are original, the scripts are funny and the music represents many diffrent styles.

I highly reccommend this DVD!

My Grandsons love these little guys. I have all their DVD's and even at 18 and 6 months they are entertained by this DVD. Ihas lots of bright colors and the characters sing and dance alot. My older Grandson even dances with the music. As soon as they hear the theme song starts playing both the boys head for the television.
I highly recommend this or any of the Backyardigan DVD to any family with younger children. It is not intended as an educational program, and each episode only lasts about 1/2 hour. There as 4 episodes on each DVD and they are very reasonably priced. I paid a little less on ebay than in the store once the shipping fees were added, but I got it alot sooner.
I love ebay and have made many purchases.

If you're clueless, the Backyardigans is a show about 5 preschool kids (Tyrone, a moose; Tasha, a hippo; Pablo, a penguin; Austin, a kangaroo; and Uniqua, a.....um.....unique....looking pink.....person) using their imaginations in their backyard to go to other places (the places represented are the Wild West, a beach, a jungle/desert setting, and a large tower). What makes this show rise above most other kids' shows are its addictive music and its comical moments, as well as its choreographed dance numbers, which compliment the music nicely. It's definately safe viewing for the kiddies.

So the four episodes represented here are:
Surf's Up - Pablo, Tyrone and Uniqua search for a beach with awesome waves. But will Lifeguard Austin lead them to it? Music - Afro-Cuban/Surfing style
Riding the Range - Cowboy Tyrone is heading to a Wild West party, while Cowpokes Uniqua, Pablo, and Tasha are looking for a theiving bandit. Will their trails cross? Music - Hip-Hop
Race to the Tower of Power - The key to the world is hidden in the Tower of Power, and superheroes Captain Hammer (Austin) and Weather Woman (Uniqua) must prevent supervillians Yucky Man (Pablo) and Dr. Shrinky (Tyrone....complete with long rubber gloves!) from obtaining the key and ruling the world. Music - Latin
Quest for the Flying Rock - It's another race, as the legend of Stone Step Hill states that a flying rock awaits those who undertake a perilous quest. Pablo and Tyrone take the desert path in an attempt to beat Tasha and Uniqua, who are going through the jungle. Music - Disco

All in all, the episodes are great viewing for the kids, and there's enough comical undertones to keep the adults entertained (if you grew up during the disco years, I dare you to watch "Quest for the Flying Rock" and not laugh at the dance moves they use).

There's also bonus content of Tasha and Tyrone dancing (to the tunes of "Shake Your Body" and "Dance By the Light of the Moon", respectively) and previews for some of Nick Jr.'s other shows (like Dora and Diego)

This DVD will surley entertain your young children. My son watches it everyday....He LOVES it. Very Entertaining and teaches him to use his imagination.

If it's Backyardigans, it's at our house. You get three different episodes on this DVD. The second episode is also on the Polka Palace Party DVD, but my kids didn't seem to care. Great video.

Like the cartoon for the grandkids. Because the two youngest grandchildren watch it all the time it is on TV.

My son loves the backyardigans they never show surf up and when we saw this forsale we had to have it and a great price too.

I can't say much because I still haven't received the dvd!! It's Feb.9th almost 10th. It's been 18 "post office days" since I bought it & nothing yet!

my kids loves theses movies!!! and you shipped them way before christmas... and it was a great deal. i am sure my kids will spend hours watching these movies especially when we go on road trips.

This movie is one of my favorite Backyardigans movies. I have a one year old daughter who LOVES the Backyardigans. We watch episodes over and over. This dvd has "Surf's Up" and "Riding the Range" episodes on it. The songs are really cute, but beware...they get stuck in your head!! :)

Love the variety of episodes in this DVD. Great to have in the car to keep the kids occupied during the travel time. Would highly recommend the any Backyardigans DVD!!!!!!!!!!

The Backyardigans are fun, innocent, and perfect for my 2-3 year olds. I find myself enjoying the shows also. Highly recommend for kids and parents who enjoy fun and adventure.

We love the beautiful colors and the unique songs and storylines... if you have a toddler, they should love the backyardigans.

DVD is in great condition, no scratches and plays great. Shipment time was fast and no hassel to me. I would recommend this seller to my friends and family.

I have seen the Backyardigans on TV and I will be buying as many sessions as are available. I watch this show with my grandson but I find myself watching it even after he has stopped paying attention. It is a very good series that reminds us of how wonderful it is to have a child's imagination.

My daughter who is 19 months old loves this show. She tries to sing along to the songs and she mocks each character. While The Backyardigans doesn't really teach your child, it's a great show that will keep your lil one entertained for a while.
The best episode on this DVD is Quest For The Flying Rock. It's a good remix of classic 70's disco hits and the songs are very catchy for the kids.

My kids love this movie... i bought this movie for my kids... my kids did not dislike any part of the movie at all my 4yr old likes it so much i think he watches it about 1 or 2 times a day also my 2yr old and 1yr old love it too it keeps there attention very well...

I had seen the episode on TV and really liked the songs and animation of the characters. When I saw it on Ebay I was really excited to beable to get it. It showed up in perfect condition and it looked pretty new. I just wish it didn't cost so much. As it is only one episode and not a few of them on the same DVD. My 18 month old loves the Backyardigans! I bought this DVD for his enjoyment and he does like it, but he is only 18 months old so he probably has never made it through the entire DVD due to his attention span. He love's to dance along to the music. Especially the opening song.
