Backyard Baseball '09 (Wii, 2008)

My 6-year-old son loves this game. It has definitely sustained his interest. The graphics are childlike (images of children and cartoonish in style.) The voice-over track is a bit repetitive and unimaginative, but the actual game is a lot of fun and very realistic. His friends have enjoyed playing it as well. There is a huge array of teams to choose among: pro teams, as well as Super Mario Brothers characters and others. You can also select a game setting. I definitely recommend this game for a younger child.

THIS IS A EXCELLENT GAME ME AND THE KIDS PLAYED IT FOR HOURS ON IN....IF YOU PLAY LIKE ME AND ALWAYS TRYIN TO HIT THE BALL HARD YOUR SHOULDERS WILL BE HURTING ALIL BIT BUT OVER ALL I RECOMMEND THIS GAME FOR ALL AGES

I like this game more than the Wii Sports baseball game. The pitch selection is more varied than in Wii Sports and being able to pick MLB players as well as kids that are made up is fun! The only thing keeping me from giving this an "Excellent" rating is that the process of picking teams is kind of slow. It can take more than 15 minutes to pick sides if you're not familiar with the players. I guess having so many players to pick from is a good and bad thing. Overall, once you get to know your favorite players, it's not so bad picking the teams and it's the only thing I think needs some work. I would be nice to be able to download extra baseball fields and players too. Haven't had too much luck figuring out how to unlock some of the fields, although I did unlock some of the extra players. Love playing with Babe Ruth!!!

I bought it for my great grandson. It was exactly what he had ask for. It arrived safely and he has enjoyed it very much. Package arrived in original sealed condition. Seller let me know when he shipped and it was a very pleasent transaction.
