Backdraft (DVD, 1997, Widescreen)

Backdraft - Great movie and story. This movie is pretty sad. The fire scenes are exceptional and the actors are all good. Give it a try if you haven't already.

I use to manage a video store and would play this movie at least once a week. It is very entertaining and has alot of action in it. for those who like action movies this is a good one. There is nothing about the movie that I dislike. It has brought me years of entertainment and one of those movies that I can what over and over again.

The elemental force of Fire was captured in this movie.

'Backdraft' has a good plot, interesting characters, and an excellent presentation of fire, and its effects. The music is powerful and appropriate, as well.

The families of the firefighters, their brotherhood, and the mystery of the cause of the fires all make this movie worth the watching.

Even though some of the stuff wasn't entirely facts... like... you cannot go into a blazing fire without your face mask... it was just a wonderful movie, I enjoyed it so much. my husband is a fire fighter, so these movies mean a lot more than the average movie. It was just well written, and the actors they chose were one of a kind.

The movie is an awesome movie and I'm glad I got it. The seller communicated with me very well and shipped it very fast after I bought it. The only issue I had was that I didn't realize the DVD came in a case that looks like a CD case. The picture didn't look like it and I couldn't find anywhere else that said it came like that. Its not a big issue, it just kind of stands out on my DVD shelves. Besides that, it was great.

This is one of my favorite movies,no matter how long ago it was made, to me it's timeless. The copy I got from this seller was really good,I'm glad I was

great movie, good story line about brothers. The truth about fire, awsome recemond any one that loves fire movies to watch.

This movie is great, too bad it didn't come with its case, but it's okay. i like this movie and i enjoy purchasing at half.com. i'm looking foward to doing business with this seller again.

My boyfriend is becoming a firefighter but the movie is not realistic to today's firefighting. It does not portray realistic firefighting techniques.

Great Movie! Watched it a few times since i got it. I would advise everyone who likes good movies to watch this one.

It was a great movie and you learn about the lives of Firefighters.
My son-n-law is a firefighter and my daughter is learning how to
adjust and watch how important her husband is to familys.

Brackdraft is a good movie about the lives of firefighters and their families.
It has some fire scenes that just spectacular. The cast is great lead by Kurt
Russell all of whom do very good work .

Its a great movie. We owned it on VHS and wanted it on DVD. I bought this one for the reason I buy most of them, if the rating is high and the shipping is low,I'am more likely to bid on them.

Backdraft may be a glorified soap opera but it is still the best film about firemen ever committed to celluloid.
Finely acted by all involved and with a top notch supporting cast. The story although mirroring every cop drama ever made runs along nicely giving you enough twists to through you off the scent and also to talk about long after the final credits have rolled.
What helps Backdraft stand head and shoulders above it competitors though are the special effects which are excellent. Becoming an integral supporting character, Howard directs the flames as if they were another actor and as fire weaves its magic you can't help but be drawn into the plot.
Despite his oscar successes since this film. Backdraft still remains director Ron Howard's finest moment.

I love the movie cause I'm a firefighter, and I have it on VHS. Just wanted to upgrade it cause it was getting old and worn. I bought it for my boyfried as a gift.

The move is good but not true to life!! Firemen would never go into a fire without there mask!! That was just one thing that was wong! I bought this for my husband who is a firefighter and my grandson who wants to be one!!
