Back to Bedlam [PA] by James Blunt (CD, Oct-2005, Atlantic USA)

Blunt is a decent musician, I'll give him that. Unfortunately, much of the music on this particular album is very similar. Particularly tracks 1, 2, & 5, which all use the same strum pattern and sound too similar to be interesting. Tracks 1 & 2 especially have a few too many musical composition similarities. I can understand finding a style and sticking with it, but Blunt really should have tried a little harder to at least mask over his lack of creativity with some edgy effects or vocal ornamentation. I still like "Beautiful" by itself, but I wish radio stations hadn't ruined it for me by overplaying it.
