You know, if you've ever thought something like "If society ever fell, and I could only have one book..." then this is the book for you. It has comprehensive instructions for, well, just about everything a person needs to be able to survive in your average North American environment. Even if you just use it for some basic gardening tips, its worth it. Absolutely one of the best books I've ever had.

I have browsed through this book and found it to be very specific, easy to read and step by step with GREAT PICTURES!!!

This is without question a must have book for ANYONE wishing to homestead, husbandry-type lifestyle, or get out in the county area to GET SELF SUFFICIENT.

This book contains everything that your great grandfather would have taught you from the mailbox all the way through the field and into your dresser drawers. IT IS THE WHOLE ONE FAMILY FARM IN ONE BOOK.

It was in excellent condition, came quickly and was jam packed with information I wanted. It is a book that I will refer back to for a long time. The information is useful and will be shared with many folks. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in homesteading or becoming more self-sufficient.

My parents have the 1980s version of this book and we have enjoyed picking through it here and there. We're delighted to have our own copy!

This is a very good book if you are into going back to the basics. It is a great how to book with lost of details.

An essential book full of knowledge to survive in this economy. just like having a Bible the only source of truth.

I got this book for the building construction & homemade power, but the farming / gardening chapters are fantastic also. There is more information in this one volume than in whole shelves of other books.
