Album Notes Here are two legends--at their early best--for the price of one CD. The Man In Black is represented by some of his finest, echo-laden hits for Sun Records, including the wonderfully spooky "I Walk the Line," whose guitar lick is still one of the most addictive known to man, and the oft-covered (see Ry Cooder) rockabilly classic "Get Rhythm." Clench-jawed George Jones, after Hank Williams perhaps the most soulful male country vocalist who ever lived, goes front and center with hits including the classic heartbreak ballad "She Thinks I Still Care," the uptempo "The Race Is On," with its unforgettable twangy guitar break, and the out of control, almost rock-and-roll novelty tune "White Lightning." Essential stuff.
