  Not one of her best

While the subject was interesting, there just wasn't enough material for a book. The author went off on tangents and gave great details about other homocides and crimes in the Missouri area (but that wasn't what I wanted to read about here.) Not one of my favorite true crime books.

True Crime- BABY BE MINE by Diane Fanning

I found BABY BE MINE to be very well written, Diane Fanning did a lot of research and personal interviews with family members, local people affected by the brutal murder of a lovely young pregrant Mother-to-be in a small town in Missouri,As The story tells us how and why Elizabeth "Lisa" Montgomery, a mother herself cuts the child within young Bobbie Jo Stinnett's womb out of her beaten, dying body & kidnaps her helpless newborn, that she has helped to bring into the world by such violence. Ms. Flanning also goes into great detail & the history of Other women who have commited this Vile Act of Murder in order to obtain an infant. I thought it was an excellent True Crime book.

Well written story of one desperate (and very deranged) women's need to have another baby. The author incooperates some examples of other of crimes of this sort as well. But mostly it is the sad tale of the murder of Bobbie Jo and recovery of her daughter. As well as how someone could be so desperate to plan such an unthinkable crime.
