Baby Einstein: Lullaby Time (DVD, 2007)

The name "Baby Einstein" can trick parents into believing it's okay or even good for their babies to watch it, but the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television AT ALL to children under 2 because so many studies have proven its harmful effects on children. Studies have shown that:

- for every hour of television a baby watches a day, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%.
- among babies ages 8 months to 16 months, every hour spent daily watching programs such as 'Brainy Baby' or 'Baby Einstein' translated into six to eight fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age."
- brain wave activity in babies is slower when watching television than when sleeping.

"Signing Time" (Two Little Hands Productions) DVDs is an excellent option for OCCASIONAL video viewing because communicating in sign language with your child is proven to:

- reduce frustration and tantrums
- accelerate language development
- promote parent-child bonding

Last thing for new moms - carrying newborn babies (in arms or next to body) an extra 3 hours a day resulted in 40% less crying. So carrying baby in a carrier or sling can help calm fussy babies!

My 3 year old loves the Baby Einstein Series and this is a wonderful addition to her collection! The music is soothing and calming to get ready for bedtime. This is a wonderful children's DVD!

I wanted to get this for my 10 month old daughter to get her into a bedtime routine so she would maybe sleep better. She has been watching the Baby Einstein movies since she was about 3 months old and loved them, but didn't want to get her too excited before bed. Lullaby Time is great to catch her attention and lull her and get her ready for bed. She loves it and so do I!

This is extremely cute and seems very soothing. I love the sheep puppet, and the music is wonderful. I can't wait to use it for my baby due in August!

My bBY AND I absolutelylove this DVD is fun, but also very educational. I will recomend this DVD to any parent with little kids. It soothes baby with the melidies. Thank you.

Excellent movie for those little ones who are too little to understand the older disney but older enough to be entertained by the TV. He loves these movies and I hope to purchase more.

My 3 month old granddaughter loves this cd along with all the einstein cd's! Would highly recommend this cd! She coos and kicks while watching it! It is so much fun to see her!!

Baby Einstein has an incredible supply of dvd's that are extremely appealing to infants and toddlers. No more suffering thru Barney, etc. Children really learn from these dvds. My newly adopted granddaughter from China quickly learning sign language from their signing video. I can't recommend them highly enough. I've ordered two complete sets for our two youngest grandkids.

Baby Einstein's Lullaby Time DVD is an excellent way to calm down your child before bedtime. The soothing music and soft screen images are calming and even made myself sleepy! My son loves it...

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my unborn Great nephew, at the time I purchased it we didn't know if it was a boy or girl. He isn't due until May-my own granddaughter loves all the baby Einsteins.

I love this DVD, my 5 month old daughter watched the entire movie and loved it. She smiled and even giggled at parts. There is so many moving pictures and bright colors that really intrigued her. I have wanted to try these movies out for awhile and they really live up to their reputation. I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought it, and Im not disappointed. I would certainly reccomend this.

I haven't watched the DVD yet. I bought it for my first grandson, who is due 01/07/09. I have talked to other parents and grandparents, Baby Einstein is the way to go.

I'm not sure what I thought this would be - but it is for putting the little ones to sleep - hard to do with a video! I don't get this one - but nice soothing music - maybe in the car???
