Baby Einstein: Baby Monet - Discovering The Seasons (DVD, 2005)

Both my 2 year old and my infant son absolutely LOVE this DVD. It's bright and beautiful colors guide children through the changes of the seasons set to classical music. My son watched this video literally from the time we brought him home from the hospital, turning his head to see it while my daughter watched it. When he would fuss, the music soothed him. Now that he is 8 months old, he enjoys sitting in his exersaucer and watching the DVD. The Baby Einstein collection is excellent, and I would recommend this DVD to anyone I know who has young children.

I really like the Baby Einstein series, and my daughter will sit and watch them with her full attention. I was interested in broadening our collection, so I decided to purchase Baby Monet - Discovering the Seasons. I really liked the colourful presentations, the classical background music, and the use of art in the show. Although my daughter is a little old for the show (they recommend 6 months +, and she's 18 months), she did enjoy the parts with puppets! I highly recommend the Baby Einstein series for anyone who is hoping to keep their baby/toddler occupied for more than 2 minutes! This is a great episode to put on while the little one is in their exersaucer, or just as some background that is educational.

Baby Monet has turned my little boy into a fan of music, painting and all the while discovering the seasons. He will enjoy it all year 'round, discovering the seasons, indeed!

This title is well made, has excellent transitions and puppetry is deft and creative.

I am very much enjoying this video alond with my children. I purchased this video along with other because I have 4 children of my own ranging in ages 8 down to 1 year and I am a stay at home mom who never has enough hours in the day to get things done and after purchasing these videos I am starting to be able to get some things done!!!

I purchased the video for my friends children the kids love to watch the video and I plan on purchasing another einstein dvd for them in the near future.

I love all of the Baby Einstein Movies, they are great for children and my little girl loves them. My daughter watches them all the time, she has learned so much from them. My husband and I also watch them with her, the movies can be quite entertaining. We love to see her reaction when something silly happens or when she is curious about something. These movies are just wonderful.

My baby loves this particular Baby Einstein video. The adorable hand puppets make her laugh and the soothing images of the seasons help relax her when she is fussy.

I decided to buy this dvd because my 2 year old son has been watching and enjoying Baby Einstein dvds since he was about 6 months old. He continues to request Baby Einstein even though he is getting older. He also loves a Monet book that he has. He likes this dvd and is learning about the seasons. I wish that it had more images of the artwork of Monet. Other than that, it is very nice.

I bought this dvd for my grandson who is two years old. It was gently used,but still in good working condition.Buying this used dvd saved me alot of money so that I was able to purchase several others also on ebay. The seller was quick in shipping and the dvd was in the condition that was expected.

the dvd was great. my baby really enjoyed it. all of my other children grew up watching these dvds and they are so smart. i hope to add to my collection as soon as possible

Discovering the Seasons is fun to watch and teaches kids about the seasons in lots of neat ways. My son loves the zebra and likes it when he changes colors with the seasons. I like the time-lapse photography and I feel it does a great job in introducing the differences between the seasons. Overall I'm very pleased with this DVD.

I bought this DVD for my two year old child. The Baby Einstein collection is a wonderful way to introduce the seasons to your child and is a great teaching tool for young and preschool children.

The name "Baby Einstein" can lull you into thinking it's okay or even good for babies to watch t.v., but the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television AT ALL to children under 2 because so many studies have proven its harmful effects on children. Studies have shown that:

- for every hour of television a baby watches a day, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%.
- among babies ages 8 months to 16 months, every hour spent daily watching programs such as 'Brainy Baby' or 'Baby Einstein' translated into six to eight fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age."
- brain wave activity in babies is slower when watching television than when sleeping.

"Signing Time" (Two Little Hands Productions) DVDs is an excellent option for OCCASIONAL video viewing because communicating in sign language with your child is proven to:

- reduce frustration and tantrums
- accelerate language development
- promote parent-child bonding

Last thing for new moms - carrying newborn babies (in arms or next to body) an extra 3 hours a day resulted in 40% less crying. So carrying baby in a carrier or sling can help calm fussy babies!

I bought it for Christmas for my Grandson and watched it, the Quality was very good. It was shipped in a mannerly time. I am very pleased.

I loved this tape and so do my grandkids even thou they are three and five. They still love this. I love everything about this tape. Wish they had these when my children were little. All ages can enjoy the music.
